No. Max 15 elite nights/person. But I do get 1 free night per card.

Of course. But I’m redeeming those free in NY. LM Central Park is $600+/night, so well worth it.

my wife and i have the canadian cards solely for the "free" nights. It's simply CAD 120 for a room that could cost, as margarita girl says, USD 600+ , which is close to CAD 800 at today's fx rates.

I don't disagree! I have 5 Alaska Credit Cards, 3 Canadian Mastercard, 2 US Visa for the companion certificates. I don't mind the $99/$75 AF or the $99 cost for the second ticket when I can save 4 digit Dollars on complex itineraries.

I just applied for the Canadian Bonvoy Amex for the bonus and the annual free night (you do pay 2 AF's before you get your first certificate though). I won't use it after minimum spend has been satisfied because of the Forex fees.

yes, but we get 60k points for the first AF (if you meet the min spend of course) and then the equivalent of 35k points for every AF after that. still not a bad deal or at least that's how i rationalize it.

Marriott New Branded Amex

Just wondering if anyone has the new branded Marriott Bonvoy card yet?
I'm up in Canada and got the card just after the merger and I was sent out the old SPG card, Amex were not sure when I last spoke to them back in March if the new card was being sent out anytime soon, but that could just be in Canada

My business version of the Marriott Bonvoy card is new, while my personal SPG card is still SPG. I like it this way since it let me readily distinguish between these two by just one look.

I applied about 2 weeks ago and received the new card.

AF = Annual fees
FYF = First year free (common sign-up perk for no AF in year one)

How long does it typically take for the yearly 'Cat 5 free night' to post after your anniversary date. It has been two months for me so far and still waiting...

Just a little over 2 months for me. My anniversary date was April 18th, the cert posted June 20th after the June statement cut.
