I think a number of us were wondering about a lounge or elite breakfast offerings at your property.
Also we know about the Lobby renovations, but a number of us are also wondering about room renovations, like what is being done, and is it all at once or phased throughout the coming months?

I also echo LUVs_2_Fly's questions, and wanted to ask if you could share some property photos [exterior, entrance, lobby, new rooms] on this thread since the ones on your website are outdated. When will the website's content be updated?
Thanks for your help!

Have a visit booked for December and was wondering about room renovations by that time and also offerings for ELite members for breakfast or a lounge.
Thanks

No breakfast offered at Le Méridien Central Park - Ambassador starus
Just checked in to the hotel. I believe it’s fairly new. I am being told that they do not offer a free breakfast to platinum’s, and even quoted that the Marriott website was wrong. Another person I spoke to said they don’t offer breakfast yet because they don’t have a contract with the restaurant. They told me I can have 1000 points. Does this qualify for the hundred dollar compensation?

I'd ask for the $100 and try to figure out the best way to document it if they refuse.

We would like to forward this to Loyalty Performance team to look into if you could provide the reservation details to us via private mail here or by email below.

That’s not a promising start for the hotel. Sort it out people - you will have an entire launch team, one person should have enough time to read up on what Marriott is.

The hotel only has 16 reviews on Marriott.com so far, but it's off to a terrible start:
— Only 2.2 out of 5.0.
— Only 40% of guests recommend this hotel.
— There's not a single "5" (highest) so far, and the most common rating is "1" (lowest).

I hadn’t seen those - that is a terrible set of reviews. The hotel is off my shortlist for my upcoming New York stay then. Honestly, I’m thinking maybe the PH.

I think we can cross this one off the list.

That's a shame and a loss of image for the entire brand.
Shouldn't they know that, nowadays, what happen to one guest is almost immediately reported on reviews around the world?

I'm just about the biggest Le Méridien fan out there, but that being said...
Reviews for this property as a Viceroy were getting weaker with time - lots of complaints about the corridors and size of the rooms as well as severely limited space [i.e. no closets, only tiny ones above the beds] and lots of wear and tear, although there have been particularly nasty reviews about rude, attitude-ridden staff who just don't give a d_mn. The restaurant and rooftop bar are outsourced and operated by the Gerber Group, so technically they're not the hotel's restaurants, hence the dancing around the already loose Bonvoy rules. The renovation of the lobby and fitness center in March to May happened to the detriment of guests of both Viceroy and Le Méridien, so unless the owners/Marriott better orchestrate the planned room renovations then they risk irking more of their guests. If the staff truly are problematic, then this is a far bigger issue requiring serious correction.
Sigh, not off to a good start, this.
