Prior, you had to make sure you linked SPG, Ritz , and/or Marriott to get the reciprocity

Has AmEx announced a new partnership w/Bonvoy itself now?

Amex issue two Bonvoy cards and yes Amex plat gets you gold status until August. After August looks like gold benefit expires

There is also no longer a separate SPG site/app/account, so everything is now marriott.

In August, the partnership between Bonvoy and AmEx is going away?

My spouse has the card formerly known as the AMEX SPG Luxury card, and otherwise she would not have any Status.

This card has given her Gold status with Marriott.

Is that what you were asking about?

Or are you limited to asking about the AMEX Platinum card? If that is the case, I cannot help. I have the AMEX Platinum, but I already have a high status with Marriott.

IMO this thread is about the regular unaffiliated AmEx Plat charge card (and by extension, the Centurion card), not one of the Bonvoy or whatever credit cards. There's a big difference.
