The early surprise is great, we'll all be on the way to 50 nights earlier (unless your anniversary was earlier in the year)!

I like this - I think "Bonvo" is a better name anyway...

Question 15 Elite qualifying nights showed up in account

I'm trying to get wife to lifetime Platinum Elite (600 nights, 10 years Platinum) but she needs 2 more years as Platinum Elite to get it so I'm really tracking her stays for the next 2 years to ensure she gets the last 2 years status. We use the old Chase Marriott Rewards card since it gets 1 elite night credit for each $3k in spend. The card also gives 15 elite qualifying nights (EQN) per year but this is normally done at card anniversary. Her card anniversary is around Oct/Nov time frame and sure enough the award night cert in her account expires 10/24/2019 which you usually get at card anniversary.

I noticed in the last week that 15 elite qualifying nights showed up and not sure why. I think I would have noticed $45k in extra spend so trying to figure out where these EQN came from. When I log into her Marriott account it says they are from "Rewards credit card." Does anyone know if they are moving up the time frame for when the EQN show up in your account from the credit card? It used to be at card anniversary which would be Oct/Nov.

It's going to be tough getting to 75 EQN this year and that's why I'm planning everything out for the entire year now. If she got these 15 now and then another 15 later in the year she'd easily make the status but I don't want to count on getting 15 nights later in the year and have them not appear. Any help is appreciated.

Mine posted and seem to be counting towards lifetime! Is this correct? IIRC, under SPG, the Amex nights/stays only counted for yearly re-qualification.

I am confused... I thought the maximum was 15 nights no matter how many cards you have... but Amex T&C for the Brilliant card say 30 is possible?

"

15 Elite Night Credits

The 15 Elite Night Credits will be credited to your Marriott Bonvoy™ Member Account within 60 days upon opening your Card Account. On or before March 1 of each subsequent calendar year, the 15 Elite Night Credits will be credited to your Marriott Bonvoy Member Account operated by Marriott International, Inc., in accordance with Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions, as long as your Card Account is open as of December 31 of the prior calendar year.

To be eligible to receive the 15 Elite Night Credits with this Card, you must be the Basic Card Member, and you must have an active Marriott Bonvoy Member Account linked to your Card Account. A maximum of 15 Elite Night Credits will be provided per Marriott Bonvoy Member Account, unless you have both a small business Marriott Bonvoy Card account and a consumer Marriott Bonvoy Card account; then, you may receive a combined maximum of 30 Elite Night Credits (15 per Card account). That is quite interesting indeed... However, it's worth noting that the Chase version of the terms do not say this. They stick with the standard, it's just 15 no matter what.

I would imagine there are many FTers with both a Marriott business and personal so I'd think this would have been flogged/highlighted right away if true.

Any data points from those that hold both versions?

Regards

Just got my first Bonvoy credit card from Amex. Do these 15 elite nights usually take 60 days to post? Been two weeks since Amex confirmed my application.

I recently signed up for the Amex Bonvoy Business card, and the fifteen nights appeared within a day or two. Now...wondering if I qualify for the Amex Corporate Advantage Program? I believe it includes $150 credit towards my personal Amex Plat card. If so would mean that the Bonvoy Business card would have an effective -$25 annual fee.
