Q : Does a 1-night stay count as the first stay ?
A : Yes, this would count as the first stay as long as the one night falls within the promotion period.

Q : Does a stay that straddles the start / end date of the promotion period count ?

Well I'm registered. Maybe. Or maybe not. Depends.
Do I believe the call centre lady who had to check (presumably by driving to the next state to ask her IT department it took so bloody long...) and came back and said 'it looks like it...' ?
Or do I believe the BonFire app that doesn't say anything at all?
Or do I believe the website which says yes?
Well, like breakfast at any Marriott owned hotel - that depends.

Super disappointed with this promo. Have a long stay planned with multiple rooms starting on the 19th for a conference, which is by far the longest/most expensive stay I have planned during that time period. With this, plus the lack of ability to actually self enroll, I'm strongly considering recommending Hyatts for my company's travel in the future.

Here's a suggestion for Bonvoy - we clearly have stuffed up on the registration for this promo. So rather than require our customers to jump through hoops to register/find out if they are registered we will automatically register all our members - our fault=our responsibility.

Not showing in my App even after I logged out and signed in again. Maybe I should delete and reinstall as the phone agent suggested? It’s showing on the mobile version of the site though. Just wished they sent confirmation emails for promotions. All this uncertainty!
Update: It worked!!! Delete the app in general > storage (iPhone) then reinstall and the promo shows up as registered!

My ambassador enrolled me.
When the promotion still did not show up online or in the app, she suggested that I delete all marriott-cookies on my laptop and then login again. After that it worked.
