Hi just read all the posts since March on this thread and dont see this discussed. Has anyone had luck in getting the free Anniversary night cert expiration extended due to Covid? My wife and I have separate cards with certs expiring in October and already not sure if will be able (or rather want) to travel/use them by then, and if extension wont be allowed might end up closing these accounts.

How quickly do Amex elite nights post on new card?
Does anyone have a good sense or data points on how quickly the 15 elite nights will post to my Bonvoy account if I open a new Amex card? I've been searching this but not found anything definitive. Can't tell if it would be quickly, a few months, or perhaps not until the next calendar year.

I applied online for a Marriott Business AmEx on a Friday. On Saturday I received a call from the toll-free New Accounts number, to verify that it was indeed my application, and not one fraudulently made by someone else. The friendly agent from India told me I would receive my card in a few days. The 15 Elite Nights posted to my account on that Monday morning.

Just used my annual free night certificate for Paso Robles CA (wine country), and prices were listed at $343 after tax. So definitely getting a good value out of the card, for me at least.

I think it is one of the easiest premium cards to justify. $150 net fee for a very usable free night, decent amount of promotions annually. That’s ignoring stuff like priority pass, luxury credit, etc

Agree, really solid value. And Amex has been great about allowing the $300 hotel credit to be used on restaurants in these unusual times. Unlike, *cough* Chase United MileagePlus Club Card *cough* where I'm paying $450 a year for United Club access that I cannot use and 1.5 miles per dollar (which admittedly I can still use). Chase's offers have been very paltry by comparison and nothing like the alternative credit in exchange for the high fee (i.e. nothing like a cash equivalent or even close, although some people have managed to pry $100 annual fee credit out of them on renewal).
