This is not new. It has been the case for at least the past several years.

Checked into the JW Camelback and they had the Bonvoy change in effect. There was stack of postcards at the front desk advertising the new Bonvoy Visa. My two rooms keys had one new Bonvoy and one old Marriott Rewards.

Mobile app and Website both working fine, except my Mobile app shows Titanium Elite, but the second page with Lifetime Status showing Next Tier: Lifetime Silver Elite??? Nights: 997, Years as Silver Elite or Higher: 0
Website shows Lifetime Titanium Elite, so that's correct.

I just found an email from last night "Marriott Bonvoy is here" that tells me that my PP status has been RENAMED to Ambassador.
No it hasn't. They're different. They differ by 25 nights and $20,000 spend. I'm wondering whether the email was written by the "Ambassador" who mistakenly told a hotel that I didn't have Ambassador status, just PP, and then went back to contact the hotel again to correct herself that I really just was Plat since PP and Ambassador were the same. If this person was promoted rather than fired, Starriott is more desperate for competent employees than I had realized.

Currently staying at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale North.
Great to be here during the big and much anticipated Bonvoy rollout.
Lots of good things happening.
Proud to be a Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium Elite member...... my new favorite alloy .
Thanks to the entire Bonvoy team for making Marriott GREAT again!

Checked into the Princeton Marriott on Monday. Zero mention of Bonvoy anywhere, nothing. Not a single sign anywhere to be found, even today. There was valentines decorations at the front desk this morning.
This morning in the M-Lounge the staff were discussing the new elite Bonvoy black room keys (one of them mentioned it was akin to the Amex centurion card).
I guess at this Marriott, Bonvoy is not a big deal nor big change.
