I wish I took advantage of SPG more back then versus IHG but it is what it is... Me thinks it’s time to start burning points where it makes sense instead of hoarding them all for the Honey/Babymoons to come.

I stayed at 4P Santiago on the official day SPG merged with Marriott last August.

I am now staying in Westin Beijing Financial Street as we embark on the Bonvoy chapter.

A moment of silence...

Can't believe I'm about to delete the SPG app from my phone. The app is quivering and shaking from side to side at the prospect.

SPG - your calming purple hues saw me have delicious purple lighting at my wedding... The promise of travels to come along with your ever increasing points balance were a source of addiction, obsession, obsessive compulsion of checking and re-checking for the last 11 years - and many, many Sweet Suite Nights.

Bon Voyage SPG.

Updates are on the way! You might experience some issues as we launch Marriott Bonvoy™, our new loyalty program name. Thank you for your patience.
OMG... they are still not learning.

It changed now. Well for me technically this is not difficult. What to be down is shut down spg site and redirect to marriott.com and change all marriott logo to marriott bonvoy.

what so difficult?

I know it's just an app. Still feel sad.

Farewell to SPG. Had many happy stays and experiences through SPG over the years, that I am truly grateful for. Many memories for years to come.

On to the next chapter and hopefully more great stays and memories to be made.

I have to say the apps looks neater compare to the old Marriott one. It took sometimes at this page before it proceed to next screen. I hope this is just one time conversion. I feel the design is much neater.
