Comments: No recognition of status at check-in; had to proactively ask for breakfast as amenity since Plat+ gifts weren't offered. When asking about upgrades, I was told they only upgrade on weekends since "they're a business hotel," "only have twelve suites" and "are not a full Marriott, so upgrades are not necessary."

Comments: I'm not sure if they have any suites with 2 beds; I am travelling with my family on vacation. I'm also not sure if I'm technically on a high floor since I'm only 1/2 way up the building but there are condos here.

The standard form for this thread requires more personal information than I want to put in a public forum, but I will say that as an Ambassador Elite, I’ve had five stays totaling seven nights in 2019, all cash, and have received the room that I booked for all but one night. The one exception was an upgrade from a high-floor king room to a high-floor suite at the JFK Courtyard. The other hotels I’ve stayed at so far are the Hi-Lo in Portland, The Nines in Portland, and the Addagio in San Francisco.

I have a lot kore nights coming up, so we’ll see if things improve from here.

Comments: Even the standard room here was very nice and spacious, also well decorated with modern japanese touch. I wouldn’t mind staying in one of them next time in the city. To me, Luxury room (with river view) looked almost the same as standard room but a bit different on layout due to bedding area. It was truly spectacular indeed. Great service all around. Breakfast was complimentary to Platinum elite member and above. This is the best RC i’ve ever been to (only 8 locations though). I wish all other locations should be like this. Sadly that’s not the case.

Comments: Returned here instead of the nearby Ritz because of our excellent experience in January (rooms cost over double at the Ritz). Hotel had been slow in January but was packed now, with cars lined up at the entrance both at 4 when we checked in and at 10 pm when we returned from dinner. Was greeted as an Ambassador for the first time in my Marriott history (I had over 200 nights last year) FDC told me they have only 11 Suites here- so Upgrade is really appreciated. She mentioned that during high season they get a lot of Ambassador guests). Views are not as good as the Ritz but our room actually had a better layout and we have yet to get a Suite Upgrade at the Ritz.

Comments: Great conversation with front desk agent; he was very dialed-in to the program. Probably the most engaged conversation I’ve had about SPG/MR/Bonvoy/whatever that I’ve had in quite a while. Very nice upgrade to an impressive room. Awesome!

Comments: Hotel opened at start of the month. Worst check in I can remember in over a year, no recognition of Titanium status. Upon prompting I was notified that the breakfast was included and I requested a 4pm late check out. After this discussion, they realised a welcome gift should be offered. Was given a room on the lowest floor due to a malfunction with the air conditioning unit affecting three floors.

Comments: Arrived at 2.30pm. I was told that i got upgrade to a Grand Deluxe Suite but the room was not ready yet. So went out to have lunch and some shopping. Came back around 4.15p and found that suite still was not available. Was given a Grand Deluxe Premiere Twin Room as temporary room instead. At 6.15pm, the suite was ready. Honestly i do prefer the Luxury room (River view) at RC Kyoto to this ‘Sakura Suite’. But they were so generous to give me this room, i’m appreciated.
