Comments: Stayed over the national day weekend, hotel was somewhat full but still managed to get nice upgrade to their suite. I am a returning guest and good to see familiar faces that always provided me excellent service.

Comments: I think it helped that I booked on a virtuoso rate...front desk noted the "double upgrade" due to status and the rate-type booked
See also post #305 (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/31374741-post305.html). Another instance of a good upgrade on Virtuoso rate type.

I do believe that Titanium status was far more influential in the suite upgrade than any one category guaranteed Virtuoso perk.

Comments: Fabulous upgrade (+6 room level) and fabulous stay! The rate include: pay 3 stay 4 nights (repeatable), HB, 100USD resort credit, room upgrade, and other stuff. A bargain! Everything all around was very-good or above. Only the housekeeping wasn’t totally adequate at the resort level…!

Comments: Quick weekend stay. Wonderful resort! Hotel was 100% full so no upgrade…but room was very nice! Looks more than 22sqm! Superb location! Crazy F&B costs (ex: 1 still water 0,75l was 12,50 eur/14usd)…but we know it in advance. Price of the base room was 1350 eur (1485 usd) a night!!!

Comments: both rooms upgraded even if I was the only guest with status. +4 level for my room and +3 level for the other room. Very nice resort…good service…but absolutely not a truly luxury resort. We had some issues with housekeeping and the laundry. They comp the laundry. Free breakfast for my room and 2for1 for the other.

Comments: App showed several higher room types available (including Avenue View King and Avenue View Suite), but FDA claimed no upgrades were available due to "high occupancy," even when I showed him the screen.

Manhattan rates absolutely insane tonight . . . this room was going for $1095. Definitely the least impressive thousand dollar per night room I've ever seen

Comments: Decent size room. Checked day of my stay and they didn't have any suite available so I'm surprised my SNA worked.

Comments: Surprised by the upgrade since I don't usually get them and the Diplomatic Suite is double the base price. I did not request for an upgrade and was provided one before I even checked in on the app. Room wasn't ready when I showed up at 1 but was ready by 2:30 when my original check in time was 3. Room seems clean and up to date.

Why did you accept that line? I rarely hear it nowadays, but if a lazy FDA or a hotel that is stingy with upgrades, that is their most common line.

Did you ask a Manager? Again, nothing hostile, just a polite request.

Comments: No upgrade but got a room on the highest (3rd) floor which was quieter than the other floors. Lots of families at this hotel.

You mean did I lay down on the floor and throw a temper tantrum in the lobby? No.

Comments: Stayed here a few times, never upgraded, so not sure whether being a return guest was a factor? Spoke with an Ambassador guest recently who was disappointed he had one (spontaneous) upgrade in many stays at that point; they "found" suites the couple of times he'd pushed the issue. They've been leaving notes, chocolates, etc. in non-upgrade situations, so am assuming they've stepped up their recognition game. Suite was very nice, only drawback was street noise in evening.
