Room received: asked for quiet room for 3 hour stay to sleep after cancelled 6 am flight (up at 3 am for it); received as requested. not sure if it was upgraded.

Comments: Really great customer service at front desk. didn't stay long enough to know if I was 'upgraded' or what this means at that hotel. but have stayed at the more expensive Marriott (one category difference) in the terminal and this was every bit as good of an experience in my very quick stay & I'd probably choose it over the Marrriott next time, just to save the money/extra points, because it was very comfortable and still on airport property but other side of driveway from where the planes are. You have to walk across the driveway/street into terminal but is right at airport over terminal parking structure/rental cars (maybe 3-4 more minutes to walk in terminal to international check in; closer to domestic check-in than Marriott).

Lounge breakfast surprisingly comprehensive. Beer in fridge all day. Evening canapes until 7.30pm and drinks until 8.30pm. Great value for the price (~RMB900 per night). Had emailed the GM in advance which may explain the royal treatment.
