Is anyone else seeing no SNA boxes, mobile check-in options, or Chat options in the Marriott app on iOS since the update last week? I tried reinstalling to no luck.

I managed to find this functionality - you have to click the bell on the list page of the stays, and the SNA message know shows in this Trip Updates page that comes up.

Im missing a feature on the last couple of updates of the app that has been around for a couple of years now: in the main search window, there was an explore button that was showing a map with all bonvoy properties on it. Anyone know where to find it now?

On Apple devices there is a button at the bottom of the screen that says Map/Grid.

Unfortunately not what I was looking for. The option I was looking for was a worldwide zoomable map of all Bonvoy properties.

Since when did the Bonvoy app becoming so annoying at asking users to enable notifications?

Disabled mine, a pop-up keeps on coming up asking me to re-enable it every time I launch the app.

Agreed. Since last update installed it has become annoying.

It also no says you can't do mobile key without 2FA. I never do mobilekey as it's generally an exercise in frustration and disappointment but last time I tried in (September maybe?) 2FA wasn't required.

The alerts need to be fixed. Every app update resets the 'unread' messages for each reservation and the unread reservation is the pointless "mobile key available" one which doesn't warrant an alert anyway.

The app is so much improved over a year+ ago but since I'm airing grievances:

(1) Please increase search history beyond 5. Even better make it a configurable setting. I'd love to have a history of my last 20 searches so I don't have to re-enter them.

(2) Please stop resetting everything in the app each update. Search history, filters, rate codes, read alerts, etc all reset. There's no reason for this.

(3) Add a "mark all as read" for alerts option.

(4) Bring back an un-buried SNA setting.

(5) Add a hotel rating or slidable distance filter.

(6) Add a popup prompt when making non-refundable reservations. I recently for the first time made a reservation under a rate code that's always been refundable except at this one hotel. Oops, my bad.

(7) Fixed the scroll-up refresh bug. I can't scroll up in the app, only down. Trying to scroll up does a (very slow) page refresh.

(8) When going through reservations, backing out from a reservation to the reservation list forces you back to the list top instead of where you are. For travelers with many reservations this can get annoying.

(9) Bring back award reservation changes in the app.

Its such a joke. They put in this super annoying pop-up to urge us to enable annoying notifications.

Did they break NUAs again? Since the Android update last week I no longer see NUAs under the bell icon for a reservation. I have to go to the website to view/edit them.

Also, please please please stop wiping recent searches and search settings every update. It's a negative user experience.


::edit:: roughly 4 hrs after I received a denial email about NUAs, the existing requests and the option on non-requested stayed re-appeared. I presume there's some correlation but all is well now.

I've had a bit of a weird experience and am wondering if this is normal.

Booked a room at a Moxy through the app, flexible rate. Few days later I noticed that there's now also a Prepaid rate available for substantially less. Being sure about the date I thought to also book the prepaid rate, and then cancel the existing Flex stay.

However when booking the prepaid rate I got the "Successfully booked" message...and it having the same reservation number as the existing Flex stay. And the previously booked Flex stay is nowhere to be found. When looking at the details of the booking it now only has a single room, being the prepaid one. However I do now have two booking confirmation emails, both showing the same reservation number, and zero cancellation emails for the flex stay that I initially booked.

The app shows only one room for one night when I view the reservation. But the fact that I never cancelled the Flex room booking doesn't sit very well.. don't want to end up with two rooms. Is this common behavior or should I think about contacting them?

Are you sure you didn't modify the preexisting reservation?
I often modify mine (price/dates/room type/etc) and it always retains the same booking #
