Does that "Request upgrade please" option make any difference with hotels upgrade?

i doubt it makes much difference. Since everyone requests an upgrade!

Where are you seeing this screen? I can get something similar in My account -> Settings (gear icon) -> Manage profile -> Room preferences but it's not exactly the same.

IOS Marriott Bonvoy apps on your booking confirmation page.
Not from member preferences.

No idea if Android version have this as well

I cant find this option if I made the reservation through the website

Web reservation have "choose room features" which have pretty much all the options here except the last 4 options.

Interesting they put this on apps yet none on web.
Perhaps they deliberately hide this option so only people who actually read all their options could score one!

iOS/iPadOS apps now allow searching multiple rates at once

The latest revisions to the Apple Marriott apps allow you to search multiple rates at once. It's getting closer to the old spg.com functionality and will save me a lot of time.

Hoping they will roll out this feature to web interface soon.

iphone app no problem.

I noticed this back in March, called and was told they are working on it. Called today clueless lady said they are still working on it though she's not sure what they are working on.

Anyone else not seeing the Certificates in an Android app?
Any progress on this?

Marriott Bonvoy App Experiences

Besides the occasional shutdown, any interesting or odd experiences with the app?

Here are a couple of mine:
1: I've received late messages about upgrades. One message came 6 hours after check-in, about 8:30pm (You've been upgraded! Check the front desk. It was just a note about the fact that i received a "preferred room on a higher floor" but was not a new upgrade" At another stay I received the same in-app upgrade notice on the second day of a stay (different property).

2: The chat feature has been helpful with getting specific rooms the day in advance of arrival. Chat opens up with OLCI.

3: It depends on the property, some app requests are processed quickly, others take a day or so to respond.

Has anyone experienced (phantom) changes in the number of guests in bookings on the Bonvoy app? I am currently staying at the Marriott Taipei and noticed in the app my booking now lists 3 guests even though I definitely booked for two and presented as two guests at check in and the fee estimate includes an NT$1,600 additional person fee for this mysterious third guest.

I messaged the property via the Bonvoy app asking what was going on and their response was that is must be a system error in the app:

Happens to me if I add a second name to the reservation.

Does anyone seem to have an issue with upcoming reservations showing in the app (iPhone)?

rather annoyingly doesnt show the mobile checkin pop up either.

Ive tried logging out and back in and even deleting the app, restarting phone and redownloading so dont think the issue is my side (unless you have more ideas)
