Use RC Certificates or Points?
 
I apologize in advance if this is covered somewhere else...I couldn't find it!

Long story short: I have over 1.2mm marriott points, and have 2 free RC nights from applying to the RC card earlier this year...good through August.

Going to Europe in January...thinking about staying at Prince des Galles for three nights...60K/night.

Should I use 2 GC and 60K, or 180K? Does it make a difference? Will those GCs be more useful elsewhere?

I don't travel much, and was originally going to use them at the RC Laguna Niguel.

Use the certificates because as of next year they won’t be able to book this hotel even if you wanted to pay the difference. Points are flexible, certificates aren’t.
