How will my Eligible Status Years for 2022 be applied to my Account and when?

If you maintained the same Elite status in 2022 that you started with in 2022 , your 2022 Eligible Status Year for your current status will be applied to your Account in January 2023.

If you achieved a higher Elite status during 2022, your 2022 Eligible Status Year for the new, higher tier was applied at the time of achievement.

If you did not meet the published criteria to renew your current status in 2022, your 2022 Eligible Status Year for your current status will be added in January 2023, and your Eligible Status Year for your new status will be added in March 2023 when your Elite status is updated.

===

When will my 2021 qualifying year of Elite status be applied to my Account so I can track my path to Lifetime Elite Status?

As part of our regular process, Members receive their qualifying year towards Lifetime Elite status in one of two ways:
  1. If you maintain the same Elite level that you started the year with, your Qualifying Year of Elite status will be applied to your Account in January of the following year. Please Note: In November 2021, when we extended the Elite status that Members earned in 2019 or 2020, Members received their 2021 Qualifying Year of Elite status.
  2. If you achieve a higher Elite level during the year than the previous year, your Qualifying Year for the new, higher level will be applied at the time of achievement. Please Note: If you achieved a higher Elite level during 2021, your 2021 qualifying year of Elite status, was applied at the time of achievement.

If you maintain the same Elite level for 2022, your 2022 year of Elite status will be applied to your Account in January 2023. If you achieve a higher Elite level during 2022, your 2022 year of tenure for the new, higher level will be applied at the time of achievement.

Examples:
  • A Member achieved Gold Elite in 2019 and enjoyed the status in 2020. They received their 2020 year of Gold Elite status in July 2020 when we extended their status. Due to status extensions, the Member received their 2021 year of tenure in November 2021 when they their status was extended to February 2023.
  • A Member achieved Platinum Elite in 2020 and enjoyed the status in 2021. They received their 2021 year of Platinum status in November 2021 when they their status was extended to February 2023.
  • A Gold Elite Member achieved Platinum Elite in April 2021; the Platinum year of Elite status for 2021 was applied upon achievement (in April 2021).

OK, but since you said it is accurate I assume you did not report that your number of nights are less than what is required for the lifetime status shown. Correct?

Do birthday elite nights count?

I'm missing one lifetime elite night and the phone agent verified that all 52 of my elite nights properly credited last year. The website, of course, didn't show this info and has displayed wrong, out-of-date info many times.

So I got my Lifetime Platinum Elite today but not LTPP. Does that come later?

Re your post title: yes, birthday elite nights count (at least they did under the old MR program).

It does if you met the requirements for LTP with activity that occurred in 2018. If not, then no.

It does seem that Marriott's lifetime balance failed to count one of my nights. - That night was manually credited to my 2018 elite nights total. I'm not going to hassle over this. - It's just incredible that the many times Marriott systems bug out, they end up screwing us rather than helping us. Statistically, it should be closer to 50/50.

Marriott's website used to show the number of years I was Plat. This info is no longer there.

Also, I see an infinite logo next to my generic avatar, and there is a gold ring around my avatar. Is there any other way I can verify that I do indeed have LT gold?

What color is the infinity symbol? That is supposed to represent your lifetime level. The ring around the avatar is your current level.

It is still there. After sign-in, click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the page. Click "Overview". Scroll down the page and between your current status and your activity you will see a statement "Your are Lifetime xxxxx". Click on the "VIEW DETAILS" at the right side of that Lifetime statement. It will take you to a page showing something similar to this:

RobOnLI and sdsearch like this.

I don't see a difference between LTP color and LTPP, but poster was asking about LTG.

Thanks! I didn't know that. I wonder why they hide the information.

What are examples of lifetime gold years that are not lifetime platinum years?

i have two more lifetime gold years that are not platinum.

the first one I believe to be my first year as a starwood member , I qualified for gold but did not make platinum, I understand why that one should not count. Since I made platinum every years since then at starwood, it stands to reason that the other gold but not platinum year would have been through Marriott, I am trying to figure out what it could be from (and if it should be platinum).

note that I never had Marriott status through an airline status match or benefit.

any help would be appreciated , for some reason our friends and loyalty partners at corporate consider helping loyalty members to be a questionable way to do business , it is proprietary in their words, I am not sure why (maybe members are overly entitled or just a nuisance around the edges )
