I stopped playing after a week when I had a 50 point win and then nothing every other day. I was under the belief that once you had won once you could never win again. Anyway I am here to tell you that I am now on my way to the drugstore to buy some Depends after wetting my pants with excitement when my 50 points posted last night.

Has anyone received more than one prize of the same value apart from 50 points? Maybe I'm imagining it, but it feels like everyone posting missing points believes they won some of the prizes over 50 points more than once, but all of these points value prize only post once.

Lurkers, is the IT department aware of this issue?

I corrected my post above. Family member should have received 3X500 + 11X50. Instead he got 1X500 + 12X50, so there is definitely an error here, not just a lag. I kept all the confirmation emails.
So I suggest that everyone be vigilant about what gets posted to your account especially if you won one of the bigger prizes.

I had a 10,000, 2 X 1,000 and 10 X 50 points, however they have posted the 10,000, but only 1 X 1,000 and 11 X 50 so I'm short 950 points. I kept all the emails listing my wins, so I may need to fill their mailbox with them if my first inquiry does not meet with success.
Well, some of my points posted today. I was shorted 4500 points. I will wait a week or so, and then get one of the lurkers to help me out if the rest don't post. I had 2 - 4000 point wins, and 2 - 500 point wins, but only one each of the 4000 and 500 posted. All of the 50 point wins were counted correctly, though.

If you are saying that not everyone has gotten all the points they think they should have, then it might be because they aren't through dispensing them yet. I can't follow up on any of that yet.
However, if there is a valid discrepancy you want to report on points already dispensed, then send me the details.

I think the suggestion/hope is more that, there appears to be a pattern indicating a systemic processing error based on specific characteristics as outlined above, where it might be more effective and efficient to address in an equally systemic and more fundamental way than opening up N cases for investigation, if that is possible.

I'm not an IT person. I don't know if it's better to address what appears to be a potential issue based on half a dozen data points now, or if it's easier to fix it 6-8 weeks down the road after everyone has had their initial volley of points. What I do know is that the activity list in my Marriott account is scary. Canceled award reservations get posted with a zero beside them (they don't identify the property or the number of points returned, crazy, huh?) or things are lumped together so you have no idea whether you got the correct number of points (the dreaded "extra" category).
I am meticulous at keeping spreadsheets but Marriott has still managed to confuse the heck out of me so that my totals don't add up!
My 2 cents.

Datapoint : A quick trawl through my email inbox using “congrats” and “500” finds 2 separate win confirmations a few days apart. There is only one credit of 500 to my account.

Of course my activity list also does identify the property involved.
