Experience post merger with reservations
 

Hi Everyone,
Forgive me if this is posted elsewhere and I missed it. I was interested if anyone was having difficulty with point stays post merger that were reserved but did not have Marriott certificates ordered and paid for. I had three reservations that are for November in which two of the rooms are now 20,000 more points per stay, and the third had the expected points more then double - These are confirmed reservations. They just hadn't had certificates applied yet.
When I called CS, they were sort of, but not exactly, helpful, the hotel went from an old category 9 to a new 6. It used to be 45,000 points per night, now it is 50,000 points per night.
My account shows the one reservation will now be 715,000 points, when speaking with CS they now want to charge me 305,000 points for a reservation that used to be 280,000 points. The other two reservations should have been 180,000 points and they are now 200,000. This isn't a huge amount of points but since I have three reservations it certainly adds up.
Did anyone else have Marriott reservations that were reserved but not had certificates applied, change and you were unable to get CS to honor the old rate.
