Courtyard Toronto Vaughan, ON [Master Thread]
 

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days September 2018. They are in the middle of a renovation, so for part of the time the lobby was blocked off and check-in desk moved to temporary quarters. However, the room I was in was the new renovations.

Mostly stayed up in Vaughan because the Toronto International Film Festival was on and there wasn't any decently priced hotels or AirBnBs in central Toronto. Wouldn't generally stay here unless you are working in North of Toronto and have a car. Much better staying north of Highway 7, or west of highway 400 if you are going to be in the area.

Location
Vaughan is north of Toronto. There is a subway stop near the hotel (10 minute walk), and it's about 40 - 50 minutes from the subway stop to central Toronto.

The area around the hotel is very barren. There was an AMC theatres, but that has shut. There are a number closed shops around the immediate area. In September 2018, there was a Boston Pizza, Dave and Busters, Thai restaurant and a few late night clubs. It's pretty desolate in the area.

Hotel Room
Pretty standard Courtyard hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Nothing special, but nice enough. Pictures attached.

Amenities
There is a restaurant that does breakfast, and drinks / snacks in the evening. There is a Market with stuff. Pretty much your only place to buy stuff unless you want to walk 15 minutes to the Walmart.

Decent gym (for a Courtyard) and a small pool.
