Clarification from Starwood Lurker in post 125:
- In regards to the part of the offer where you can earn 1,000 points for trying a new brand…There is no minimum length of stay, but you only earn it starting with the second brand. So if you only stay at one brand during the promo period, you will not earn this bonus. But if you stay at 2 or more brands, you will earn 1,000 points for each of those brands after the first one even if the stay is only one night.
- You earn on every stay of 2+ nights, so it isn’t about accumulating nights. If you have two stays of 1 night each, you will not earn a bonus. If you have two accounts, you may register for MegaBonus with either or both accounts. You will only be able to earn with one account at a time because you will earn the bonus points in whichever account the stay was booked with. Example: If you have two accounts that are not combined: If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number and stay with your SPG number, you will earn the bonus points in your SPG account. If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number but book your stay with your MR number, you will not earn bonus points.

Spent 35 minutes on hold to get a rep because the website was not working for the registration.
As a sign of how incompetent they are, the agent asked "the mega what bonus?" like they've never heard of it before. It's not like it's a once in a lifetime promotion.
Had to be put on hold again because they do not know how to sign me up.
The end result is that my registration is pending. Pending what I don't know and they can't figure out.
Put on hold again.
Total times spent on phone: 1 hr 10 minutes before I hung up.
What a horrible experience to just sign up for a regular promotion.

Anyone else having issues with posting the bonus? I've already had my first (of two total during the promotion) 2 nights stay, followed by a 1 night stay at my second brand. (2 nights, Sheraton. 1 night, Delta). The 2000 points for the Sheraton posted in the "bonus category" along with the rest of the points for the stay. The Delta points for the stay posted, BUT, without the 1,000 promo points.
Wondering if the promo is programmed based on 2 night (or more) stays even though the per brand bonus is supposed to be regardless of length.

They had a similar multi-brand promotion a year or two ago. The points were awarded as one lump sum sweep after the end of the promotion period. If you stayed at 10 brands, a single 9000 point bonus posted later.

Same issue with me...called in, on hold for about 2 mins (Marriott Platinum Elite CS) and said I should see it reflected on my online profile in 48 hours. Let's see if it's true!

Starting on Thursday (I hope... never know with the IT issues) you are supposed to be able to play the 29 ways to stay game to win prizes. In the terms and conditions it says that you have to play the "Memory Game" to win prizes. I wonder if this is going to be a easy game where my 10 year old can do it or where they are going to make it so hard they don't want a lot of people to win! Knowing their IT department it may be easy! Who knows! I will wait to hear someone play and find out what to expect!

I had the same issue from my Old MR account. I do not bother to email as I know it will take ages for them to even reply.

I get that Marriott is free to run (or not run) whatever promotions it would like, but I find this promo particularly dismissive of folks who might stay 5 nights a week at Marriott properties every single week, but as single night stays. Anyone care to speculate why the promotion is setup this way? This is the first megabonus I can recall where I was left wondering if I'd be able to "max it out".
