  • Stay at any of our participating hotels and resorts worldwide between September 26, 2018 and January 31, 2019.
  • Earn 2,000 bonus points on all stays* of two or more nights and 1,000 bonus points per brand, starting with your second brand.

Nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for bonus points.

Finer print:
*A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity.

Registration is required. Marriott Rewards, Starwood Preferred Guest, and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards (“Loyalty Program”) members who register for this promotion by January 7, 2019 will earn 2,000 bonus points per stay on stays of 2 or more nights at participating brands. Plus, members can earn an additional 1,000 bonus points per brand starting with the second brand at which the member stays during the promotion earning period. The promotion earning period is for stays between September 26, 2018 and January 31, 2019, at participating Marriott Rewards, SPG and Ritz-Carlton properties. A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. Rooms booked through most third party online retailers and select travel agency bookings are ineligible to earn for this promotion. The member receiving this offer has been targeted and the offer is not transferable. Bonus points will be awarded to the member’s account up to six weeks after the promotion ends. Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for bonus points and nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for bonus points. Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay. Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion. Clarification from Starwood Lurker in post 125:
  1. In regards to the part of the offer where you can earn 1,000 points for trying a new brand…There is no minimum length of stay, but you only earn it starting with the second brand. So if you only stay at one brand during the promo period, you will not earn this bonus. But if you stay at 2 or more brands, you will earn 1,000 points for each of those brands after the first one even if the stay is only one night.
  2. You earn on every stay of 2+ nights, so it isn’t about accumulating nights. If you have two stays of 1 night each, you will not earn a bonus. If you have two accounts, you may register for MegaBonus with either or both accounts. You will only be able to earn with one account at a time because you will earn the bonus points in whichever account the stay was booked with. Example: If you have two accounts that are not combined: If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number and stay with your SPG number, you will earn the bonus points in your SPG account. If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number but book your stay with your MR number, you will not earn bonus points.

At the moment 0 points for me on the brands.

i’ve had one-2 nights stay and three-1 night stay on different brands, after the first one.

The only points that posted with the stay in relation to this bonus was the 2k for 2+ nights. Brand stays weren't posted along with the stay.
Besides, I was expecting the 10k bonus in my case for completing 10 brands, not a 1k bonus.

No, there was never a tracker or anything else, other than the Megabonus page which told me I earned 14K in total. At a guess that only included 3K of brand-based bonuses, but who knows.

Alright then. Another Marriott IT fail. I have had more two-nights+ stays and have received more points from that part of the promo than the tracker shows. Coincidentally, the tracker shows exactly the amount of points I should receive as brand bonus. But that's but a coincidence...

Just showed up in my account:
03/01/2019 Bonus* Q4 Megabonus 1k Bk +2'000 Points

This means that this only applies to the unique brand stays with minimum 2 nights. Or the bonus was not applied correctly.
I had 3x 2-night stays in 3 unique brands, plus several other 1-night stays in other unique brands.

Bonus was not credited for all unique brand stays, only for those with minimum 2 nights, beginning with the second unique brand.
And the promotion tracker only displays 1x 2-night stay, although I was correctly awarded 6'000 points for the 3x 2-night stays (main promotion).

for those who think they are missing points because they didn't stay a minimum of two nights, this may not be true....i went back & checked my stays & i stayed at the following brands during the promo period:

1. sheraton (1 five night stay, 2 two night stays & 5 single night stays)....
2. aloft (1 single night stay)....
3. four points (2 single night stays)....
4. marriott (1 single night stay)....
5. luxury collection (2 single night stays)....
6. moxy (2 single night stays)....
7. element (1 three night stay)....
8. westin (3 single night stays)....
9. design hotels (1 single night stay)....
10. jw mariott (1 single night stay)....
11. st. regis (2 single night stays)....
12. townplace suites (1 single night stay)....
13. autograph collection (1 single night stay)....
14. courtyard (1 five night stay & 7 single night stays)....
15. fairfield (1 single night stay)....

so i had at least 3 brands (sheraton, element & courtyard) where i have stayed more than 2 night but i've only received 2k points....no clue how they are calculating this....

Actually, you made the same mistake as me! Assuming your list is in chronological order, your first stay at the Sheraton wouldn't count. So that leaves only the Element and the Courtyard, which means 2000 pts.

My points now match up with my 2 night stays, as the first one doesn't count for me either.

It has not posted correctly. I only earned 10,000 points which is exactly what it says in my account. It says you have earned 10,000 points for the promotion but only 2,000 was posted.

Wait and see or send in an email? Again, this is getting exhausting.

That is correct. You had minimum 2-night stays at 3 unique brands. This means that you would receive 2x 1000 points for the brand bonus, because it only begins with the second unique brand.
Here too, you are not receiving unique brand bonus for all stays, but only for those with a minimum of 2 nights.

there is no choice but to wait & see what marriott does now....the lurkers stated here a bunch of times that the brand bonus had no minimum stay requirement & my ambassador confirmed the same....if they were all wrong then it would put them in a pretty embarrassing situation....but then again there is nothing new about that....as of late marriott has been consistently doing that to anyone who works for them....

This is squarely in the hands of the IT department. They didn’t take into account that the brand bonus did not have the 2 night requirement, nor should it.
