Clarification from Starwood Lurker in post 125:
- In regards to the part of the offer where you can earn 1,000 points for trying a new brand…There is no minimum length of stay, but you only earn it starting with the second brand. So if you only stay at one brand during the promo period, you will not earn this bonus. But if you stay at 2 or more brands, you will earn 1,000 points for each of those brands after the first one even if the stay is only one night.
- You earn on every stay of 2+ nights, so it isn’t about accumulating nights. If you have two stays of 1 night each, you will not earn a bonus. If you have two accounts, you may register for MegaBonus with either or both accounts. You will only be able to earn with one account at a time because you will earn the bonus points in whichever account the stay was booked with. Example: If you have two accounts that are not combined: If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number and stay with your SPG number, you will earn the bonus points in your SPG account. If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number but book your stay with your MR number, you will not earn bonus points.

Thanks for the info in this thread... Didn't realize there was a game also associated with the 29 Ways to Stay. Oh well.. I won today (Day 8) 50 points. I was just interested to see if the site was also displaying a track record of the stays already under one's belt. I'm "too lazy" at the moment to check out my stats. But I'll get around to it.
I just need to figure out an action plan to at least knock off as many SPG stays before I cross-over to the other brands. Just might make 75 nights this year without even trying too hard.
update: Found the area where my progress is being tracked.

Woo hoo! Finally won again. 50 pts today! Yesterday's is still marked incomplete. Today it dumped me back at the start after picking the last pair, then went to complete on the second attempt.

Just bizarre. I manage two accounts and won 50 points on both in the first day. No wins at all after that, and no win this morning when I played for both. Seeing this thread, I tried to play again today and won 50 points again on both accounts. So, that's weird.

The game worked for me on the first try today (although similar to rustykettel, yesterday still shows as not played for me ), and I won another generous 50 points. Truly their largesse knows no bounds!

Ran the Element game yesterday morning (my time) and then the Editiion game yesterday evening (my time). This should have been two different days in the US but instead I was notified, on both household accounts I attempted, that 'you've already played today'.
Guess I need to consistently play in the morning local time.

Glad I read this thread, I was beginning to wonder what I was doing wrong as after the excitement of my massive windfall of 50 points the first day I kept going back but getting nothing was didn't understand why. Kind of amazing they only provide the instant win on the first try...pretty weak game IMO.
Have the rules been updated? Now reads "The total maximum ARV of all prizes is $3,731,553.40USD. Limit one (1) Instant Win Prize per person, per day."

I as well think the offer for all 29 brands is not really reasonable, considering that there are brands which are only on one continent. I can do 10 brandt without hassle and booking anything not needed.

I wonder if it is worth it ... 10k points for all the hassle to re-book for other hotels just to make it ... not enough incentive for me.

Mine has not. Marriott is a disaster. How did you people put up with this incompetence ? (yes, far beyond the lack of update to status bar - basic ability to talk to someone on the phone without answering a bunch of questions, generally rude agents, generally offshore agents, need I go on?)

Totally confusing info on the account
2 night CY - xxxx base, yyyy elite, 2500 extra
1 night AC - xxxx base, yyyy elite, 1000 extra
with no further explanation of what those extra points are.
With your explanation it starts to make sense:
2500 Extra = 500 welcome points + 2000 promo points
1000 Extra = 1000 welcome points + 0 promo points (the 1000 promo points to be credited sometime in January)
