"Taste of gold/Platinum"

Now that the programs are combined, do they still offer the taste of gold/platnium challenges?

ie get instant plat status and stay 15 nights in 90 days to extend to the end of current year?

I was under the impression you don’t get the benefits of the status you are trying to get until you reach your nights goal? Am I correct?

The agent on the phone told me they don't send email confirmations that you are registered, however she said I could see it under the "promotions" tab when logged into my marriott account.

However, up till now, I can't see it.

Anyone else able to see the "tracker" or "counter" for the platinum challenge when logged into their marriott accounts ?

I’m also not able to see any tracker in my promotion page although I called Customer Service and two different agents confirmed that they could see I was enrolled in the challenge and had until 5/31 to complete it. Let’s hope there isn’t any issue when I do complete the challenge.

Do any of the Marriott properties count for the Challenge? Specifically, if I stay at a Residence Inn for 16 out of 90 days, would this count?

All my stays during the challenge were at Marriott, Four Point, Renassiance, Sheraton and Courtyard, all in SE Asia, all counted.

I am currently doing the challenge and only five nights to complete by 31 May.
Does anyone know if I still can register with the double points promotion while doing the platinum challenge?
