not having the stay count is also another issue. I would have achieve platinum just by the stays already in SPG.
It will be not - at least it didn't happen to me, since the bonus nights were not showing up after migration.
I have combined but kept my SPG account just in case - be sure you combine by keeping your SPG account. I can still see my old SPG account history so I can prove which nights are missing from the total account.

I just reported what the operator at the phone told me. I also don't believe it will be corrected that fast and without some special intervention, but maybe they have planned some further maintenance update like they did last Saturday. My account is in a worse situation and with the missing nights I should be entitled to PP, that I will likely missing for some future stays (including thus some missing points). And while I'm over 20k in spending already, I'm definitely not sure if I should put the extra effort on reaching 100 nights.

Sorry to hear @Andy82. I was hoping to avoid special intervention as even with a combined SPG/Marriott account, I will likely still need about 2-3 more stays to hit PP so I can afford to be patient a little bit longer. Who knows, maybe we will be pleasantly surprised come Monday?

Guess I will not be combining my account since there is no advantage at all to do so, in fact I may be worse off.

I had a 5-night stay and was only credited with 3. This was literally two days before the switch/merger and was booked on my original SPG account. I'm two nights away from gold, and I have another 20 nights in Asia for September and October.

Not sure if I should wait or simply give them a call to sort this out.

For legacy SPG stays that have already posted, but need additional work, you can still email Program Services at [email protected]. Please allow them up to 10 days to complete their work and if you send them the folio for the stay, it will help to speed up the process.

I'll take the over in getting it corrected in 30 days.

Still missing 4 SPG nights that dropped when I merged accounts, and based on the failure to fix this apparently widespread error so far, I'm assuming it will require extraordinary effort to get these added to my total.

I'm still missing 3 nights in my SPG YTD night counter since the SPG program was migrated to the Marriott platform. However, I think all my SPG activity is in the activity list.

I have not combined/merged accounts yet.

I finally bit the bullet and logged in after doom's day. The good news is - my points balance is in tact. The bad news is, I'm missing 8 YTD nights. Having gone through the "Hotel Stays" list, my theory is that A) >1 room credit do not count .. and B) stays that started last year but had nights this year are not accounted for.

It doesn't really impact me as I'm still north of 100 nights but I can't believe I'm still 9 nights short of what it should be. How could they screw up this badly two weeks out? Is it just not a priority to fix?

It doesn't help that my stay from a week ago still hasn't posted. I know they get "10 days" but in my experience they either post right away or don't post at all. We'll see what happens...

After 17 days of the merger, and complete silence from my ambassador. He claims he cannot do anything and I need to be patient.

Put it simply, he was pretty non-existant before the merger, so I don't expect him much from him. But can't Marriott deal with their PP +Ambassador LTP or whatever first? This sounds so ridiculous to me!

Has it been publize around about the current mess? This is just not right...

I don't know the situation with your ambassador but in fairness to him I guarantee you that he is under explicit instruction to not touch anything. Manual fixes to bad data just makes cleaning up the bad data worse.
