Several years ago in the MAR forum, there was a small thread on the property w/ no reports. Wonder if it left MAR & is now back, or didn't open then.

Look forward to first trip report.

Cheers.

Yes, I do recall a Marriott in this neck of the woods that mysteriously disappeared from the system. Quite possibly making this hotel a refurbishment rather than a new build...

Opening April 2019 does seem unlikely if they won't load rates for late 2019.

This hotel was in the system. Even in December 2016 I made a reservation for September 2017. Marriott canceled the reservation in January 2017 and told me that the hotel was leaving Marriott.

I stayed here in 2016! Was a decent property, good treatment of elite members, but in desperate need of renovations. Was sad to see it leave back then!

Just as a short info From our stay in October: the whole resort has been renovated, rooms are in very good shape, very decently priced. I can really recommend this property.

When we stayed last September, the hotel was doing a pretty full breakfast (with servers giving you what you ask for from the "buffet"). Pool was open, and you could do a spa circuit with reduced capacity. The pool bar/restaurant had reasonable food / prices, but more of an international menu than Spanish.

I'm not sure about upgrades (with or without SNAs) because we made specifically clear we wanted the double queen room with a bathtub, which I think is only available as a standard room. Our room was in good shape. Internet worked fine IIRC.

It's located on a golf course in the middle of nowhere, so you definitely need a car. There are a few walking loops you can do, but nothing terribly interesting. But you can do easy day trips to Altea, Denia, Javea, etc.

love this part of Spain and Denia is a great town, spent 8 weeks there before, but sadly it was when the resort was closed and before Homes & Villas. I'm def ready to go back and try this place.

Hi

Many thanks for the info.

We will be driving.

Does anyone know the e mail address for the hotel ? My school Spanish is not up to the job on a telephone.
The breakfast sounds a reasonable idea. Have had that type before and it is good if the server replenishes "fast".

I need to know if they have bath tubs in rooms ( not clear from website ), and want a better room than standard if possible.
Also the web site states that there is a hot tub. Is this free to use or part of the spa package and if so how much.

Planning mid June.

Thanks in advance.

I will be staying here in a few days. Let me know if there's anything you want to know/see.

Must say the reviews are pretty great for such a reasonably priced property. Paid around 130 a night.
