All these problems - Impact on Q3 Numbers and Upcoming Promos?
 

I have not been staying at Marriott/SPG hotels so I don't know what happens on the ground. I personally am still struggling through account / future reservation problems on the Marriott side and too afraid to merge the accounts.

Reading the posts here, it seems there are a lot of problems:

1 - direct IT issues ranging from website stability, wrong balances / totals, wrong status, transfers not happening, future reservations gone, etc.
2 - long holds on the phone
3 - confusion on new status
4 - confusion on benefits

I wonder if things are bad enough to hurt their Q3 numbers? Might things be so bad that bookings will drop and they will come up with some "please come back" promotions later?

Now, looking at how bad the IT side is, I wonder if the promotion part of their new system is actually done....Legacy MR rep told me this is actually a new system, not the SPG merged into MR. So, maybe there will be no promo for a while?
