Fairfield Inn Bangor, Maine [Master Thread]

Stay Report - 7/13 - 7/14

Location: The hotel is located in a slightly seedy part of town just north of the I-95/I-395 junction. Downtown Bangor and its casino and restaurants etc. are about 2 miles away. Near the hotel are a few other low end hotels and motels as well as some chain restaurants (there's a Tim Horton's across the street). Pro Tip: The parking lot of the rundown movie theater north of the hotel has an incredible lobster roll food truck in it from 11-6.

Hotel: This is definitely an older converted property and is not much to look at from the outside. There's a large parking lot which surrounds the aging 3 story building. Inside is a really small lobby with a breakfast area that got so overcrowded I didn't bother to eat here and a small sundry store which has a really good ice cream selection.

Check In: Very friendly agents thanked me for being Titanium and got me into my room quickly.

Room: So judging by the outside I wasn't expecting much but the room was really nice. It was in great shape with a large, comfortable bed with outlets next to it, a SmarTV, a large bathroom and desk area. Best of all it was very quiet, no soundproofing issues whatsoever. I really enjoyed my time in the room.

Breakfast: As mentioned above there were massive lines to get to the food and nowhere to sit so I skipped it. It looked like they had an egg dish and a sausage dish and a few cold items.

Maine is expensive in the summer but I got good value out of this hotel. The employees were friendly and my room was nice so I would be happy to return.
