Exclamation All together now -- Continuing technical issues from the legacy SPG forum

Members,

SPG, Marriott Rewards, and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards are now officially one program. The program names are sticking around until 2019, but you can now book, earn and redeem at more than 6,700 participating hotels across 29 brands worldwide,

Explore Our Combined Program

Enjoy new Elite benefits

Earn points in more places

See new ways to redeem

Plus, starting now, any member with both an SPG and Rewards account can now easily combine them into one single account login and profile. All your eligible stays will earn into one account. Even better, your combined Elite nights could add up to achieving the next Elite level right now.

To combine, all you need is your login for both accounts. Combining accounts must be done by you, the member, and will not happen automatically, even if you’ve previously linked your accounts. Combine and keep your new SPG number here.

A lot has happened over the past few days, and we truly appreciate your patience. There are still a few known issues we’re working to resolve including:
  • For members whose accounts are still displaying incorrect Elite status, this issue should be corrected later today (August 21st).
  • For members whose accounts are still displaying incorrect Lifetime Elite status, we expect this issue to be resolved over the next week. However, while Lifetime Elite status may be displaying incorrectly, members’ current Elite status and benefits should be correct. As a reminder, SPG members who qualify for Lifetime Platinum Premier in 2018 will receive notice of their achievement in January 2019.
For members having issues other than those above, please contact us at https://www.marriott.com/marriott/contact.mi

We hope you enjoy all that one powerful program has to offer.

Kind regards,

Alexandra B.

You folks lost my lifetime status. I qualified under the old SPG program rules years ago for lifetime, and now I'm being told post merger I don't meet the requirements under the new rules so I've lost lifetime status and have to rework under the new rules. I have sent an email. Hopefully you lurkers can help!

We are not enjoying the one bugful program.

Please fix the HUGE communication gap between your front line agent and loyalty head office.

The system is still showing error messages. In my case it shows "Due to recent system updates, some recent stays may be missing. We are working to fix this as quickly as possible." As such, my annual nights total is incorrect. You don't list this above as a known issue - but based on the online message, I assume it is.

Lurker IV/Alexandra, I really hope that your messages these last few days are not the future of the Lurker program. I.E. You drop in, drop some PR statement and then disappear never to be heard from again. The Lurkers, and their participation on these boards (back and forth with members) as well as their personalities was awesome.

So it seems like I should contact Marriott then? I am missing 11 nights from my SPG night count and have been since Saturday even though my current status shows ok (LT is still incorrect). Some future stays are still missing, and my stay/night/points from a stay checking out on 8/18 has not posted either. This switchover has been awesome.

Bad decision that Marriott does not treat the SPG members that have the grandfathered amount of 750 nights and 10 years LPPE status in August. Makes no sense.

By the way the link to merge is not working. i input new spg # and correct password. Not working. Agree would be nice for more communication when the e-mails sent sound like everything is so wonderful.

This is still one hot mess...
- Stays/nights posted prior to 18th have now disappeared. IE all my August nights are gone (5 nights from August and corresponding points gone)
- Asking user name and password for the choice benefits
- Some areas of the site still says im Platinum (yet other areas shows correct status)
- Not to mention it incorrectly shows im still on my way to LT silver when already clocked in over 750 nights and 10 Plat years (hopefully fixed by next week)

Lurkers,

What about our missing nights ( up to 1 month prior to August 18th) and corresponding points that mysteriously disappeared on the 18th? When will that be fixed?

When will the points, for credit cards that cycled between the 1st and 18th, going to post?
