FAQ : Suite Night Awards - SNA - questions and discussion thread
Would like to know 1. If the existing suite night from SPG can be used in Marriott properties 2. If there is any difference between the SPG issued suite nights and Marriott issued suite nights Anyone has insight? |
I think after the merger, you should be able to use SNA at Marriott properties. My understanding is that Marriott hotels have fewer suites than SPG hotels.

We will continue to honor existing Suite Night Awards until expiration dates and they can be used at participating Marriott Rewards and SPG brands and properties after the merger.

I guess "existing" includes those...

Not understanding your concern. It appears Christina’s statement is pretty clear. Note also that the "merger" of Marriott and Starwood has already occurred, so does the word "merger" here mean that we must first take the step of merging our accounts or can SNAs be used in Marriott (and presumably also RC) hotels at any time after the new combined program begins, presumably at some undetermined date in August? |
Err, does this include Ritz Carlton properties?

I'm trying to get an absolutely clear answer.

A6. Can SNAs be used at all brands -- in particular, can they be used at Ritz-Carltons? If so, and if an SNA is used at a Ritz-Carlton to upgrade to a room category that includes club access or breakfast, will those features be honored despite those not being elite benefits at Ritz-Carltons? No - not all hotels will participate. A list of non-participating brands and resorts will be available via the SNA terms and conditions in early August. Brands that will not participate at launch are: The Ritz-Carlton, Protea Hotels, Aloft, Element, Design Hotels, All-Suite Hotels, Marriott Vacation Club and participating Vistana properties. <added by Starwood Lurker 18May18> William R. That is most unfortunate. can you perhaps explain why RC would be excluded from this yet other luxury brands are included?
