While they will be moving a few doors over at some point this year, check out the nearby Red Lion Smokehouse for BBQ and beer.

Interesting to see a new-build Delta at a time when the brand seems to be mostly re-flaggings.

Not sure that this one would be what you are looking for. It was actually announced way back in 2012 and construction started before Marriott bought Delta. There have been extremely lengthy delays along the way.

As mentioned above, it's not new enough.

But aside from that: Is Delta re-flaggings now in Canada too? Or is Delta just re-flaggings for the expansion of the brand beyond Canada?

Wow:

The Delta Mariott, under construction since 2014, had a recently targeted opening date of December, 2018. The hotelier's website now shows the building will open February 2019, with online room reservations available starting March 6.

The hotel was originally supposed to open in spring of 2016, but numerous construction delays, legal battles and liens were registered against the property.

I hope the developer or owner has updated whatever decor as well as in-room TVs and technology they originally had planned to use. Hopefully, the TVs, furnishings and so forth haven't been sitting in warehouse all these years.
