If choose breakfast as Plat arrival gift option, it's a full breakfast buffet. The "Living Room" lounge is for those who book Pavillion Suites. Status will not gain you access.

This is very interesting, thanks for taking the time to post.
They need to fix this for sure.
Have they provided any perks/compensation (points, resort credit, haute living access…) for your trouble?
Is there anyone in particular you recommend contacting ahead of arrival to sort this out? We arrive late in the evening of September 3rd.
Message me directly if you prefer.

Two days ago we were stopped by the Guest Relations Manager in the parking lot as we exited the hotel. He told us the director wants to meet with us the next day and they would arrange for a meal and taxi to a local restaurant. He asked to exchange numbers and told us the director would find us after breakfast. Two days later we have not met the director and the GRM has now
”ghosted” us and stopped replying to our text messages.
They have obviously been watching us because as soon as we arrived to our room an hour ago we received a phone call to the room. Reception asked us if they could assist with our departure tomorrow by arranging an airport taxi - we are booked for two more days. I guess they want us to leave early. I cannot wait to be done with this place. I’m fed up. I’m frustrated. I’m mentally exhausted. I don’t want to negotiate or chase down management for compensation. I want to leave. I’m defeated.

I bet you are exhausted…..
Thanks for sharing, it really is a public service, hopefully therapeutic on some level.
I hope you can make peace with it and enjoy the next few days in the sunshine, on a comfy chair (that you will have to get up early for!) with a cool drink.
We loved the Miramare and thus booked again for this September, we hope things have been ironed out somewhat but will be proactive in communication with the hotel beforehand. It sounds like the addition was truly a bad idea!
When you are home reach out to Marriott for compensation.

You get two poorly dimmed balconies, an in room seating space which the standard room does not have, and the toilet has a door which separates the rest of the bathroom. The toilet door and all the bathroom walls are stucco, which is a strange choice but to each their own.

I have an upcoming stay at this hotel for over a week -- now I'm horrified to see these reviews!
Last year's stay was beyond fantastic!
Has the GM - Joseph - left the property? He was absolutely hands on making sure everything was top notch!
Edit: seems like there is a new GM in place, no wonder things are different now!

That's a long stay, FWIW I really enjoyed Paxos which is just a shortish ferry ride away from Corfu...

Can anyone give an update on the current situation at Domes Miramare regarding the new building and everything?
I noticed that they started selling new room categories "Jade suites" and "Opal suites". Supposedly these are in the new building.
- Do guests with Emerald retreats booked still get walked into new building or did they stop this practice with the new room categories?
- How is the situation with crowding levels and wait times at breakfast?
- How is crowding with sun loungers?
Any update is greatly appreciated. We are headed there in 10 days and are super concerned after the recent posts.

Beach side … gets crowded but if you’re not very picky about exactly where on the beach, I’m sure you can find a spot. Maybe a little wait.

New room is beautiful and more spacious with a seating area (sofa, armchair and small table) making it a “suite” (more of a junior suite).
Everything is new. Seems well designed overall. Balcony looks out at the water (and main building), has 2 loungers and some have outdoor jacuzzis.
Vibe is more modern.
Definitely feels like a different hotel though.

Thanks for your impressions.
Does the “new side” across the road now have its own restaurant for breakfast? I think many of us are concerned about the existing restaurant waterside not able to accommodate guests from both locations.
Assuming the pool there is open and functional?
Have you heard report of guests who were assigned a room across the road and not having a choice to relocate to the room they had booked?
I think my main concern is that when the new area is at capacity that there will not be enough beach area.
Also, we’re there any jellyfish sightings as have been reported on the Tripadvisor Corfu forum?
Thanks for taking the time!

Yes, new side has a restaurant open for breakfast (and other meals). Pool is also open, it is much larger than the pool on the main side. There is also an indoor spa pool.
No idea about unhappy people being assigned the new area and wanting to stay at the older area instead. Maybe reach out in advance to the hotel and tell them you don’t want to be in the newer area?
No idea about jellyfish. I do see people going into the water.
