cmhsieh54 in post #1965 suggests that if you have an upcoming stay and if the online system (i.e. website/app) loses your confirmation number, and your online/telephone correspondence with corporate hotlines get you nowhere, call the hotel directly and give them your name and check-in date. Chances are quite high they'll find the confirmation number on their end and they will add it back to your online profile. It's a 2-minute fix; and a better day when we all don't have to be troubled by 'bugs'.
__________________________________________________
(Below is Marriott's own guidance about this 'bugs' thread)

If you're here, you are obviously experiencing some issues with the web site. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We have an interest in giving you the best web experience possible, so here are some tips on how to get any problems resolved:

First of all, the web assistance team has this suggestion for you:

"We first suggest the normal steps of clearing their cache (temporary files) and cookies, logging out of their Marriott Bonvoy account online, then close all browser windows before trying again. Please note that clearing cookies may also remove any stored passwords in the browser.

It is important for them to log out to ensure no bad/old data is saved and so that the online account has a chance to refresh.

You may already be aware of this, but note that cache and cookies are 2 different things. The cache memory is what remembers old content for faster page loading and may cause errors after updates. Cookies are mostly only meant for tracking during the current session. Both can still remember old errors that may have existed in the browser."

You should also be aware that being on a VPN sometimes interferes with your browsing experience. Try browsing without being on a VPN and see if this fixes the issue.

If none of this resolves your issue(s), you can you can send an email to [email protected] along with any screenshots leading up to and including the error message.

It also helps if you include the following information in your email:

-What browser(s) have you tried? Is the issue happening over multiple browsers or just one?
-Are you using a desktop/laptop or a mobile device?
-If you are using mobile device does this issue persist when on a desktop/laptop?

Once we have this information, we can forward it on to the web assistance team for further review, so please be as complete as possible.

If you are having an issue with any of the Marriott Bonvoy apps, you can send the following information directly to the Marriott Bonvoy App team at [email protected]:

-What device and operating system are you using?
-What version of our app do you have installed?
-What is the problem you have encountered?

Westin Dubai showing as from 100,000 points for the stay.

Click in and it is now from 120,800. Absolutely ridiculous and dishonest tactics.
I played around with the dates in November and it consistently is 20,800 points above.

If I change them to March however it matches.

Very strange

Tonight under My Trips, I got a 404 error! Then I tried to access it from another area - this time got Access Denied. This was on FireFox.

Opened a Chrome browser, I was able to go to My Trip but very slow. Took 2 tries to cancel a reservation. Thankfully the 2nd try succeeded and the reservation was canceled, even received an email confirmation on that. whew.

Meanwhile, FF remains getting 401 Authorization denied error even just trying to go to Marriott.com

FNC was used for 5th night of 5-night booking

I was trying to find out why my free night certificate (35K Points) disappeared. I talked to a Titanium phone agent. She was very rude. The only offer was to take out the certificate from that reservation in question, instead of investigating a little bit further.

This was a five-night award booking with 5th night free. I did not use the certificate as part of the payment in the original booking. I made a date change and the certificate disappeared from my account. After hanging up the phone with Titanium agent, I found these two strange things in the booking: The certificate was used for one of the five nights. I was not given the 5th night free.

So, I canceled this reservation and rebooked.

Yeah, the website isn't letting me sign in or search for hotels. Using the app tells me there are no properties available for the days I select at any location.

+1 Can't sign in on the website. App just endlessly spins after doing biometric login on Android phone. Hopefully MR IT fixes the issue quickly.

Received a reminder from a property on a stay today that I have cancelled on website 5 days earlier.

Double checked email inbox as well as account online - did receive cancellation confirmation and the property is listed under Cancelled tab. Made a screen shot of that. Called the property, accounting dept voice mail box was full. Changed to 0 and was transferred to FD where a clerk named Natalia looked up the reservation and confirmed it was cancelled. She said the property has a list for upcoming stay and the system would send out the Covid info to the guests on the list... but my reservation is shown as canceled, so not to worry about it... Whew.
I dont know whether this is the system failed to convey the cancellation to the hotel or not.

Trying to make a booking today and the website and app are both not working correctly. How hard can it possibly be for a large company like Marriott to have a functioning website and app? It seems like it always has issues and it's ridiculous.

111 pages in this thread talking about issues. They really need to sort it out.

Since last Friday, the app on my Galaxy 5 started to 'act up' - I could not sign back in, could not really do much. I tried to un-install and then bring it back - it did not work either. Managed to sign in on the desktop version of marriott.com, however it took several attempts. I do not know what is going on.

Push notifications also broken on the app which makes chat very difficult to use!

Maybe if some of Marriott’s customers/hotels started complaining, they’d do something about it. I think I will ask the hotel I’m at to report it.

can't see reviews

for the last few weeks I can't see reviews for any hotels. When I click on reviews it takes me to a scrool down page for the hotel but no reviews - even at the bottom. Has anyone been able to see reviews of any hotel on the marriott website?

Website appears to be down. Non-stop access denied errors whenever I try to do any search. Good thing I have my room booked for tonight but I need to book for next weekend and have to buy tickets to a concert but can't do that until I know if I can afford the Marriott rates in the city I'm going to. Hurry up, horrible Marriott IT, and fix these issues.

Was able to fix my problem by completely clearing cookies in Chrome. I figured this out only because Marriott.com was working fine in an InPrivate tab in Microsoft Edge.

I couldn't even login to Marriott.com on Chrome --- access denied. After clearing cookies the problems are gone. No clue what their horrible IT department broke this time.
