That is indeed a revelation . Looks like soft landings are coming for 2019. Since PP is still a lofty status , that is quite a nice perk for those losing AMB . It will be interesting to see if other exceptions are forthcoming for those who got within a few nights or close to the spend threshold.

maybe it's like the breakfast benefit...if you can't meet the standard, then maybe close enough is OK

Are the generic email addresses not working anymore? I emailed [email protected] 4 days ago and again yesterday without response. It would be good to get an auto reply at a minimum with an SLA.

I also noticed ambassadors no longer include their phone numbers in their signatures. Does anyone have the generic 1-800 number?

If I cannot even get customer service for general missing stays, points, etc, the Ambassador program is all but worthless. In the SPG days I could at least contact the general platinum desk and be assured of at least decent service.

After being a consistent 130-150 night SPGer the past 7-8 years, I’m most likely splitting nights with Hyatt in 2019 since this program is so abysmal.

Maybe that's just an issue for legacy SPG ambassadors. My legacy Marriott ambassador has her 402 phone number in her signature block. A couple of the other legacy ambassadors who have emailed me in the past couple of months have 402 and 801 numbers in their signature blocks. I have called her three times while she was out, one time in September, the number didn't roll over. The other two times, someone answered good evening Mr. C17PSGR, this is Marriott Ambassador _______, how can I help.

Of course, the problem remains at the hotel level where tonight I was greeted as "Thank you for being one of our VIP members, we've upgraded you to one of our higher executive floors ..." And this property is a nice legacy Marriott where I am a repeat guest

Look at my previous posts by me or others... It's not unusual to not receive an auto replay and have to wait 3-4 days for a response.
I'm sitting on a question that hasn't been answered in a month.

Can we go back to a question I raised many posts ago ... where is your ambassador located?

I don't have BHR's ambassador but my Ambassador in Omaha or someone else in Omaha or SLC has responded within 24 hours 100 percent of the time since 8/18.

^^^

I try not to bother my Ambassador and certainly would not expect my Ambassador to respond via email so quickly over the holidays. Or anyone else from the general Ambassdor service. I think that’s a bit unrealistic. If I had an emergency over the holidays, I’d call...but I still would be more realistic.

Sometimes, I really do wonder what people are thinking.

There are those of us for whom a 4-day response time is useless because we book travel with 2-day notice. I'm in that camp.

I suggest caution here, This has not been the previous practice from either program so reality may prove differently.
