Aloft Leidsche Rijn, Utrecht, The Netherlands (opening 2020)

Our local news is reporting an announcement by Marriott to open a new Aloft hotel in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
The hotel will apparently be the first hotel in the world to be a "WELL CertifiedTM hotel"

Scheduled to open in 2020. Link in Dutch

Utrecht is really lacking in international hotel chain options. At the moment we only have an Ibis, a Park Plaza and two NH hotels. (An Inntel Hotel is scheduled to open later this year near CS)

I'm for one very excited as I love Utrecht, in the past I have stayed at Amsterdam and done day trips, but once the Aloft is available I would bypass Amsterdam and stay in Utrecht.

It's a shame that its location is far outside the city centre. Utrecht is a tiny city where you can very easily navigate everywhere cycling or walking if you're well located..
