"With its modern, award-winning Khmer architecture, sleek decor and forward-thinking amenities, the new Courtyard Siem Reap Resort opens its doors in stunning contrast to the ancient sites of nearby Angkor Archeological Park.

Sorry, Sharon, but I'll advise Marriott Plats to match to SPG Plat and enjoy benefits at Le Meridien Angkor.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, so don't really care whether someone stays at CY or LeM. :) But if they do decide to stay at the CY, it's nice to have a property specific thread so that trip reports can go in this property thread in case someone else is interested/might stay there. Technically it's a resort (although the family Cambodia thread says the location isn't great). It does have an exec lounge though, which not all resorts have.

Cheers.

OP, when is the actual opening date?

I still could not reserve for rooms in December 2017.

Thanks!

No idea. Often future inventory isn't loaded until it formally opens. It says opening in October, so I'd keep checking back periodically for your December dates.

Cheers.

Inventory is loaded from 1 Feb 18

Srisarin, newbie here. What does "Inventory is loaded from 1 Feb 18" mean?

It means that you can book stays from Feb 1 '18 onward. That may be the new true opening date, or they may open up inventory sooner if they open sooner (so worth checking back periodically) But for right now that's when stays can begin.

Cheers.

I have not seen the completed CY and had a good stay at the LM, but it was the workers at the LM that told me this was going to be a nice hotel. I'm holding out hope this will be a good option.

Any update on opening date?

Why is this a Courtyard property?

Because that's the brand the owners felt was the best fit for their property?

Well, then they've clearly never stayed at a Courtyard. This property and its features are way too nice for a Courtyard. On paper anyways, I'd say it's better than most Marriott or Renaissance resorts. This is what drives me crazy about Marriott: brand confusion.
