There is probably an existing thread on this new property, but I am unable to locate it.

I just heard that it is at the soft opening stage.

the construction was announced along with the other 7 TCC projects several years ago to be or already opened but this propeety doesn't yet have it's own thread.

was originally scheduled to be only a service apt but seems they'll double dip with this project ala 57

location leaves alot to be desired as it's way down Surawong towards the river away from Patpong with no SkyTrain station nearby and Surawong traffic can be nightmarish at times

Personally, I would prefer this location to the river area. I dont really like the Patpong area either, other than it is more convenient to get around from their MRT/BTS. This area definitely has its challenges with regards to traffic and if you choose your departure time wrong you will be penalized by sitting for a loooong time and going nowhere.

Why doesn't this property show when you do a search for "Bangkok" on the Marriott site? I've tried various dates, both soon and months from now, and it doesn't pop up.

There are properties that don't show up until it's closer to opening dates. Not specific to this property.

Is this an error or did they get new 2018 rates from AOT?

As far as I know, the one way AOT rate is THB 1,050 for an Isuzu MUX, at least for the nearby Le Meridien Bangkok. The rate to go the Royal Orchid Sheraton, which is on the other side, is THB 1,150.

The Director of F&B came from the PA.

I guess that the Starwood to Marriott and vice versa transfers will become more and more common for upper management.

Now, it is the other Le Meridien (down the road) that is 'sending' his staff to the new Marriott:

Is this hotel just a one minute walk from Le Meridien Bangkok towards the Jim Thompson store (Henri Dunant Rd?)
