The breakfast buffet is rather basic but if you get it as a gold or platinum it is worth it. Other then coffee which is awful and the mugs are metal and get very hot.
Completely agree about the room (stayed there few days back). Hard product is really nice, provided you get a decent rate or BRG. Did not bother wake up for the breakfast, so cannot comment. Coffee in a metal mug was okay IMO – I am no way a coffee specialist, but to my taste is was decent. Alcohol cocktail which is available on a welcome drink coupon is so-so at best.

At the same time, despite the really nice and professional people in the hotel management, service on a level of basic employees remains disappointing. Perhaps due to the fact that majority of them are not from the hospitality industry background. It will improve eventually, I believe. At the time of my stay, I was not greeted as a Platinum, did not get a personalized welcome letter/amenity in the room, discovered a used condom packaging (thankfully not a condom itself) below the bed – not under it, it was lying outside in a plain sight, and have been woken up by some employee in the early morning because he got a brilliant idea to apologize for the day of check-in, at 10 AM, and ruined my sleep.

Received this from my friend. He's Plat+1.

'Moxy Osaka arrival: Drink vouchers - 4; Small snacks - 4; Breakfast vouchers - 2 (and the scrambled eggs had milk added making them very light/fluffy..... coffee leaves alot to be desired but I'll caffeine fix at Starbucks)"

That's basically what my friend did as well. Look forward to your report too.

Cheers.

Has anyone stayed here post-merger? My husband I are staying for two nights in November, and are wondering about the amenities offered for Platinum members. Thanks!

There's no breakfast benefit but you get the following: F&B amenity OR $10 F&B credit for member + 1 guest, daily.

I wonder what the F&B amenity is.

It's a candy bag worth about 200 yen at Moxy Tokyo. They're sister hotels so I suspect it's the same.

I’m here right now. Here is the benefit offered for Gold and Platinums. Breakfast is offered! The hotel is nice and I like the design but it doesn’t feel really durable. They provide everything you would expect from a Japanese hotel including nightwear (at the front desk). We were also offered drink coupons that we can use at the 24h bar.

Wow, breakfast too for Platinum members, that is good news indeed. Do take photo of the breakfast if you can, see what kind of spread is offered.

Here is the breakfast buffet. It was quite alright and had multiple options.

That breakfast spread looks much more extensive than Moxy Tokyo was when I stayed there in August. Moxy Tokyo also didn't provide breakfast, although the 10 USD was roughly the cost of breakfast anyway. I'm pretty sure the hotels have the same manager and the interior is basically identical based on these photos, so I don't understand the difference.

This looks exactly the same as Moxy Tokyo's breakfast, IMHO. I was at Moxy Tokyo in July pre-merger and was offered breakfast as a Plat benefit, FWIW.

I was there for five days in late August and there was no fruit for any of the days, nor any of the vegetable garnishes shown in the photos. This was post-merger.

I'm a bit confused on the same manager part, given Osaka & Tokyo are approximately 500 miles apart. Are you saying same franchise company? Because I definitely don't see the GM traveling 1,000 miles daily RT. Moxys have similar layout, so somewhat identical in terms of decor, etc, wouldn't surprise me.

Cheers.
