looks like no points stays are loaded for studios (or maybe not available). Calling in gets some 1 BR. availability for 40k and 2 BR. for 60k/night

They don't have studios. One, two, and three bedrooms only.

Studios are the smaller side of a 2-bedroom lockoff unit. Prior to construction of The Westin Nanea, Maui County passed an ordinance outlawing the construction of additional timeshare lockoff units. That's why there are 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units only at this property.

60K/night

Called SPG today to ask if they had any rooms avail. for pts in early Feb, 2018. They only showed a 2BR avail. for 60K pts per night. I said, "no thanks." Too rich for my blood.

That is expensive if you don't need the two bedrooms. However, that's not too bad a rate for a 1,260 sq foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a complete kitchen.

If you value SPG pts at ~0.02 that's a $1200/night stay. No thanks. Now, if I had 1,000,000 pts in my acct.--maybe.

I have used these offers a few times (for the south and north properties), and they never require you to go through the time share presentation. They will try to sway you with resort credits and/or SPG points, but if you say no, that's that.
I have also referred other people to them, and those people have taken advantage of the great deals, and not been forced to sit(walk) through the presentations.
I did become an owner several years ago, but still get these offers about every other year, which works great, since I am an every other year owner.
The Nanea looks great, but wow, so much more points/StarOptions/cash than the 2 other properties. And I hear they haven't addressed my biggest complaint. They have one small adult pool, and allow kids in all the other pools.

Question for the masses regarding this property. Just ran a search to look for any points booked available night at the standard category 6 rate of 20k or 25k points through December 31, 2018 and not a single night shows as available. Finding that hard to digest and believe. When I call, rooms are available for booking in the lowest room class available at the Nanea villas but I'm quoted a per night points rate that's significant at 40k points per night ... Whoa. That's beyond a category 7 hotel for a standard room. It seems SPG wants this to be a luxury property and then some. Interested in the group's take. If this is a category 6 property, how come we can't book a standard/basic level room at this property at the published standard points rate? Is it really a category 7 or higher property in disguise? Very confused.

Hello hopegrad

Free Night Awards at The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, Ka'anapali require higher Starpoints redemption because the hotel does not have standard rooms. This is an all-villa property and the lowest room category for redemption starts from 40,000 Starpoints for a Deluxe 1 Bedroom villa. Starpoints required are also subjected to high and low season during your stay dates. You may see the terms under Free Night Awards here.

Question Suggestions how to contact Westin Vacations

I called Westin Nanea in Feb. to claim my reservation, but was unsure of the dates. Paid my deposit and waited to call back after the window opened for the dates for which we were interested. Have tried calling for three days. The 800 number connects, but either goes to silence on the other end or continuous hold music with no verbal confirmation after selecting the option. Have also emailed Westin Vacations with no response. Any other ideas how to connect with these people?

Just signed up for the 6 day 5 night package for $679 which includes a $185 credit for an Avis car for the 6 days, plus $75 resort credit or 5000 SPG pts. The room is not in the timeshare building, instead it's in the regular Westin nearby. TS presentation required. Also, $30/day resort fee including parking, etc. So, basically $130 per nt all in, less the value of the 5k SPG points.

The email conformation lists a phone number of 888 272-0375 to call to book the dates, as I wasn't sure when I would go, so just paid the $400 deposit. 8am to 8pm M-F PDT.

Hi WestSacESS,

May we have your SPG account number and contact details via private message to have the Westin Vacation Club team to reach out to you?

Westin Vacation offer at Nanea

Hi !
Got an offer for $849 for a 1 BR villa at the new Westin Nanea. Max occupancy is 4 but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with how strict they are about having 1 additional child ?

Also is there any issue if we have to throw away the first night ?

Lastly do you get any PLT benefits at the property ?

TY!

Hello,

I'm an SPG platinum member and have been receiving these westin exclusive offers for the past 4 years and used the Cancun offer last year. I haven't received an offer this year and wondering if I should call SPG to follow up?
