Considering staying here next week. I arrive at ICN at 10:30 PM and my next flight is at 2:40 PM the following day. I don't see any benefit of treking into Seoul. Any suggestions for alternatives would be appreciated.

Thanks. I figure I will just grab a cab. Anyone have a preference for the Nest over the Hyatt?

I prefer the Hyatt because it's closer and I will probably always get a suite as a Globalist member. NEST is a fine hotel and usually always priced cheaper than the Hyatt.

The Hyatt has frequent shuttles, although I haven't stayed there since KE/SkyTeam moved to T2. I hope it's still convenient.

Nest Hotel Incheon

Overall the hotel was really good value for what we paid. I would recommend it if you need a hotel out near Incheon Airport.

Check In

Check in was quite fast. As a Marriott Bonvoy member they acknowledged my status and asked if I wanted breakfast or the welcome gift of 1000 points. I took the welcome gift as we were leaving really early the next morning and wouldn't be able to eat breakfast at the hotel.

Room

1_IMG_2645.jpgThe room was clean. I got 2 rooms, and the photos in this room are the one with a king bed. The other room I got had 2 double beds. I liked the feel of the room, and this particular room was at the end of the hallway in the corner. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The Internet worked great no matter where we were in the hotel.IMG_2647.jpgIMG_2644.jpg

Bathroom

It was an interesting bathroom layout. The door to the outside also acted as a door inside, so someone could use the toilet itself with privacy if someone else wanted to use the sink. The design is really cool. The toilet was Japanese/Korean style with the butt washer controls on the wall. I appreciated the heated seat as my stay was in the summer with the AC going full blast, the bathroom was a bit chilly in the middle of the night.

Gym

The gym at this hotel is extremely small. I apologize for not having any pictures. I wouldn't pick this hotel for the gym. I think it does a disservice to its clients by having 25% of the space taken up by a boxing ring. People aren't really going to be utlizing that during their stays like they would other gym equipment. They had dumb bells and bar bells and some benches. Running machine was also present and a few machines. Considering how beautfiul the hotel itself is, I was surprised the gym wasn't better than this.

Dining

I didn't eat at the hotel, but there are a ton of local Korean restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We wanted something local and from the sea, so we went to one of the local restaurants.

Location

I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt a number of times and I feel while this hotel isn't as close to the airport, it is still close enough that you can get to the airport within 30 minutes (T2) of leaving the hotel. It is also close to local restaurants and the ocean, so you get a bit more of a "natural" feel to the place than you would at the Hyatt. There isn't as much traffic around the area. For Airport stays I think this is an ideal hotel, and if you are a Bonvoy member it is much cheaper and closer than the Sheraton Grand Incheon hotel.

Overall

Overall this hotel is my go to hotel now for stays where I need to be by Incheon Airport. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the airport. I think it ran once every 30 or 60 minutes. Sorry, I don't remember exactly. They also are a 5 minute walk from the subway station, so you could take that over to the airport as well.

The hotel is new and modern and has a great look and feel to it. I like the decor inside, and the room was extremely comfortable.

The price is typically 50% of what the Grand Hyatt is, so I can't see how this hotel can't be beat for price point to quality ratio.

I stayed there last night. Although it looks close to the airport, it takes a good 30 minutes to get to T2 by shuttle, longer by monorail/bus. T1 is closer, though.

There are a bunch of seafood restaurants nearby, but they may be seasonal. The hotel seems to be a romantic destination for couples. as well as popular with groups of women. Most guests appeared to be driving.

The reception staff were friendly, but some pretty challenged in terms of English. Very little English signage. International guests are not their focus for sure.

Pros: Pretty much spotless, upgraded to a large room on 10th floor. Large bath for two.
Sauna has a Japanese-style onsen with indoor and outdoor tubs. Rate was 120,000krw ($100). Hotel shuttle to T2, but sometimes only every 2hrs.

Cons: Did not have a good bay view like the other side of the building. No breakfast. Charge for pool. Powdered coffee and no creamer. Asked about buying some milk, and was told to take a taxi/shuttle to the airport. Ridiculous, as I found a convenience store 5 minutes away. No mention of status or points gift. When I asked one guy said 10,000, then was told by another staff it was 1,000 (as I expected). As the previous poster said, the gym is small and has minimal weights, 3 cardio machines and a boxing gym (???).

Good choice for layovers

Stayed here last May 2023 as well as last weekend, September 2023. Is an excellent choice for those who have been to Seoul way too many times and just looking for a clean and reasonable priced hotel close to ICN.

There's a complimentary shuttle bus to/from terminal 1 and runs every 45 min.

For the times I've been at that property this year, never had any problems with early check-in (9AM). They did also proactively offered late check-out up to 4PM. But when I asked twice the following day and day of check-out, they said it is subject to availability. So just an FYI

Anyways, Bonvoy Elites tend to get some sort of upgrade. Always been upgraded to at least their "sea view" room on higher floor.

AC is excellent. Gets really cold unlike some properties out their in Korea.

A previous poster mentioned that he was given the option of breakfast or points. Having stayed here numerous times in the past, have never been offered that option when I was an Ambassador guest nor as a current Lifetime Titanium Guest. It has always been 1000 points.

Breakfast is 42K KRW and is very much worth the price. A selection of Korean and Western options with fantastic views of some water.

Given how cheap this property is during weekdays, would definitely stay here again during quick layovers.
