Well I'm just returning home after staying at this establishment for 3 nights.
Over all my stay was nice. But for two of the three nights I had to take a taxi back to the hotel.
Wednesday when I arrived at the airport, I called the hotel and asked when the shuttle would be arriving. Within 15 mins it arrived. Driver informed me that they will not pickup guests at the new Angel Lake station but they will drop you off there. The preferred drop off though is at the airport and the shuttle is suppose to run 24/7. Well, that's a lie!
My 2nd night arriving back at Sea via the light rail, I was told the shuttle was busy and to take a cab. I did and found out that the cab driver really don't like the short fares like that as they get charged 7-8 dollars when the leave the airport. The fare to the hotel was 12.50 which they hotel reimbursed me upon arriving (I beat the shuttle there to the hotel and it was full of passengers as the arrives a minute behind me!).
My 3rd night was the worst at the shuttle never showed up even with me calling the hotel twice and was told the shuttle was coming. It was 1 AM when I first called. Then I called again at 1:40. Finally I took a cab at 1:50. Turns out the cab drive was pissed about the short fare and tried to charge me $20. We exchanged heated words even before leaving the parking structure. I. The end he refused to give me a receipt as I gave his the exact date on the meter.
I complained to both of the clerks in the lobby when I arrived and they didn't know what to say other than sorry. No refund possible even though they both say me and the cab driver arguing in front of the hotel.
And then this AM, the freaking driver fell asleep at the stop light at the enters de of the airport. I did notice him slow down for no apparent reason at one point. But little did I know he was perhaps starting to dose off! ....
Before I left hotel this AM, I complained about the shuttle issues to the manager. She said "sorry" and said good bye to me. After the scare of the driver falling asleep on is, I called the hotel to say they should take him off his shift as he's sleepy. Was told they'd talk to him. I hope they did and that all is well for him and guests and other drivers.
Beware future guest intending to rely on the shuttle. The hotel was perfect. Had a large corner room facing the front entrance (Pacific Hwy) and had a view of Pueget Sound! Minus the shuttle incidents, I'd consider returning.

I'll send email with details very soon. This AM I also found the automated survey email in my inbox as well. For a second though, I thought it was the hotel itself following up on my complains. That would have been the unexpected indeed!

Same here : stayed a few times here in September and would politely describe the shuttle service as 'erratic', and not up to par for an airport hotel.
Some experiences :
5:50pm. At the airport. Website advertised the shuttle as running every 30 minutes so I waited in vain for half an hour, then called, to be told it was 'on request'. Picked up 20 minutes later, so about an hour to get from airport to hotel.
10:00am, at the hotel, shuttle left straight away for the airport, but had an AC flight crew onboard who had been kept waiting at the hotel and were late for their flight.
5:00pm, at the airport. Called immediately, and was picked up 15 minutes later.
6:00am, at the hotel. No driver for the bus, so a taxi was called.
9:45pm, at the airport. Called immediately but still took 25 minutes to arrive. The driver then missed some other guests he was supposed to collect, so had to do a go-around, which was quite a long way, and added another 10 minutes to the journey.

I agree with you... The shuttle service seems to be in flux or the staff just do not know/care what info they give to customers.
Note: When I arrived at the hotel, I asked at the front desk about the frequency of the shuttle. The first reply I got and it was repeated to me was "every hour on the half hour".
So, for the next day I made it plan to be there in the by 6:30 AM for my ride to the airport. But it wasn't until my check-out day that I discovered that the shuttle actually is supposed to run every 30 minutes. I just happened to have completed my check-out at 8:55 AM and the person said the shuttle should be arriving shortly and it did. Crazy!!!

This Four Points is almost 10 miles from the airport. The Seattle Sheraton is 15 miles away and nobody in their right mind would call that an airport hotel. Though, given the shuttle experiences shared here, you could probably get from the Seattle Sheraton to SEATAC on the light rail faster than from the "airport" Four Points via shuttle bus (particularly if you're stuck on I-5 during rush hour).

Sorry to belabor the point - it's 5 miles roughly as the crow flies or by the most direct route which is all surface streets. 9+ miles by I-5, which google tells you is the fastest route (12 minutes, vs 15 on surface streets). Anyways, at 5 or 9+ miles, that's pretty far for an "airport" hotel, in my book...

3.6 driving miles from the shuttle pick-up point, which includes the extra distance you're required to go by driving past the hotel and doing a U-turn to come back on the other side of the road.
Maybe the google crow requires recalibration ?

Though, I do still stand by my original point in that this is pretty far from the airport for an "airport" hotel. That is admittedly subjective and debatable, though.

It's at the far end of "airport area" - in decent traffic, a shuttle/cab ride shouldn't be more than a few minutes. Stayed here as a Plat recently, upgraded to a room I liked better than the ones I'd gotten as a Gold, but no suite. Their continental only breakfast for Plats seems cheap to me when other 4P seem to have no problem with giving a full one.
First time I stayed here was right after they opened. Stay never posted. Sent it off to Research, who replied after a long-ish time: "Sorry it took so long. The property wasn't coded into the system properly, so stays were automatically blocked from qualifying. It took a while to start from scratch here, but your stay has been credited correctly now."
Last week, my stay posted promptly, including the double points; however, room rate only, nothing for the bar and grill charges clearly shown on the folio. Research reposted the entire stay with those. So, watch your spending credit here! On a positive note, their Happy Hour prices are a very good deal.

Just completed a 4-night stay here as part of a Platinum status challenge. I'm local to the area, so I won't comment on the usefulness of the hotel for business travelers, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my price-conscious family members or leisure travelers.
I have another stay coming up Friday. It's only one night, so I'll report back to see if they upgrade me to a deluxe corner room that Gold should entitle me to.
- Gold benefits were recognized. 4PM checkout without asking (didn't need it). Received a room on the top floor, but it was otherwise a standard room.
- The website lists parking as $10/day, but it appears to be free. Did not appear on my folio.
- There is only an outdoor (heated) pool. Looked a bit run-down from our window which overlooked the pool, quite a few paint chips on the bottom surface. Too cold outside to try using it, though.
- Fitness center was perfectly serviceable
- Used some of our MAGC vouchers towards breakfast in the restaurant. Dined a la carte. Good food - certainly good enough to not bother checking out the immediate area.
- Internet was pretty slow.
- The MAGC vouchers are black and white photocopies on plain paper that they write your room number on, not the standard business card printing. A less-scrupulous person might take advantage of that.

Just completed a stay at this hotel and while it is newer and still pretty clean, my main issues were my keys not working and also the hot water didn't seem to get too hot when taking a shower. Additionally, they are opening a casino in the hotel so based on the area, it will be interesting to see is this effects the guest experience at all.

I had a one night stay here in April, I was there less than twelve hours. I waited 45 minutes for the shuttle to pick me up at the airport, each time I called I was told 5-10 minutes. I was fairly annoyed but when I got to the hotel, the clerk was INCREDIBLY apologetic and gave me some extra points for my inconvenience, which was totally unexpected and turned my mood around. It was definitely a little further from the airport but worked for my needs. I have no other complaints and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
