The quoted airport taxi fares have not been updated, there was another round of fare increase a few months ago.

Stayed there in June, got absolutely nothing - not even a high floor, or bowl of fruit. Quite the opposite to the LM and sheraton in KL!

Exactly the same experience. Nice hotel but absolutely no recognition as a gold

Dined at the Westin with my Starwood Privilege Card in a party of 5. When I made payment, I provided my SPG card so that I can get points. However the SPG points voucher that came back only listed the spend value of a single person (instead of the total bill).

Only caught it after I came home. Was wondering if anyone had the same experience.

Not at this property. But that shouldn't be a problem; just send in the receipt and you will receive points for the full amount.

How does this hotel compare to the JW Marriott next door?

I am traveling regular from Bangkok to KL and I have to say that Westin is much better. Also location wise for my meetings. Always honor my SPG benefits and good restaurants in the hotel.

Stayed at both hotels last month. The club lounge at the JW is far better than the Westin one if that matters.
