Lounge benefits
Just wondering, have any platinum members recently stayed and can comment on lounge benefits? I'm hearing from the hotel one drink voucher, but no longer 6-8pm food and drinks. Maybe someone can confirm/clarify?

There was no mention of 6-8 food and drinks, only drink chits provided for that time slot at any of the 3 bars.

I just arrived at this location. I used their limo service since I had a late night arrival (3AM) and I wanted to get to bed asap.
Someone welcomed me as an "ambassador guest", and brought me to the room where check-in took place. I had reserved a premier room, and that's the room I was given. Not sure if it's the partial sea view, or something else, but I guess I'll find out in the morning.
I was given drink chits (4 total for nights), and then he tried to upsell me to a "better room" for 3400 rp a night, which would give me a room on a higher floor, and unlimited cocktails between 6 and 8PM.
I was surprised by the upsell, and have never experienced that before.
When he came back up with my CC and passport, I wanted to confirm what he had offered, and he told me it was "actually now 5500 rps a night". I asked if that was for the same room on a higher floor, or a suite, and it sounded like it would be a suite.
I've never encountered this at a hotel, and it is making me uncomfortable.
Update: After two calls and some persistence on my end, I was able to get connected to an ambassador manager. He was going to email the hotel (as it was late at night), so I may wait to hear back from him, or just go downstairs and ask for a manager.

We had to sign the bill each night, but they never charged us. Either the person checking you in was not aware about your status, or they downgraded the Plat/Titanium/AMB benefits after our stay. That would be a real bummer.

St Regis Mumbai does not offer Platinum Elite access anymore to their (unlimited) cocktail hour. Instead, when you check in, you get cocktail vouchers (approx 1/night) which you can exchange for a cocktail + a snack in various bars throughout the hotel.
I ended up not using those, so not sure how significant the snack is, but the unlimited cocktails + snacks in Luna Lounge for platinum elites is gone.

St Regis Mumbai experience
Booked one night at St Regis at Mumbai , south asias first St Regis, booked in my name for my friend & my friend who is second guest requested an early check in which was approved on request. Early check in provided at 10am, which is an amazing experience, there was a big conference in the hotel, it was busy & almost sold out atmosphere yet they have given importance to Platinum elite members request. I reached the hotel later and did the normal check in process, they have greeted me with glad news that the room got upgraded to suit 😀. Further they have offered the normal platinum welcome amenity to choose, there was an option of St Regis diary & luggage bag tag, I requested them to see it first to choose, but later I preferred to choose the 1000 bonus point. the delux room I booked was eligible for another 1500 points. Further my friend requested for late check out @4pm which was graciously approved on spot. Coming to lounge , there was no dedicated lounge in St Regis Mumbai which was a surprise for me, but they have 3 bars and they have given the vouchers for happy hour between 6-8 at Luna the bar, but informed that one drinks! They given me seperatly the voucher, do not checked if my friend got voucher, as I'm non alcoholic immediatly gifted the voucher to another friend to explore the bar! Hotel is an amazing property. since breakfast was included in the package couldn't check if they allow platinum members free breakfast. Seems like they provide & it was mentioned in amenity They give instant chat response in app, initially they replied typical answers like " Subject to availability " but later the response was much better, St Regis Mumbai doesn't have "mobile key access" feature which I have seen in Le Meridien Kochi. Over all the check in Exp was very smooth and promising. I have read numerous comments where Elite members compliants about upgrades but my experience in Marriot India is really thrilling, I got suit upgrades in numerous properties like St Regis , JW, in one occasion I got upgraded to JW resort with pool villa in Jaipur. Morever in India ITC group are part of Marriot chain, recently ntroduced peak - off peak point promo helped me & with 10000 points I stayed in ITC where the normal room rate was $180 and upgraded to suit category with complimentary breakfast , lounge access, 1000 points + free room service tea coffee + fruits / cookies on requests. Over all St Regis s an amazing property in Mumbai.

Currently staying at this hotel. Have been told Marriott have discontinued the platinum/titanium free cocktail happy hour vouchers from 15th Jan. If youre upgraded to a premier room, mobile app states it includes happy hour cocktails but reception confirms the free drinks are not included unless you pay an extra INR3.5k per person which allows up to 8 drinks. My first time at a St Regis. Nothing special and a bit disappointed, doesnt feel premium. Would prefer to stay at another brand.
