arrived on 22nd. Had a few intermittent showers that quickly passed, yesterday was sunny all day and looks to be the same today. Offered a overwater suite upgrade for $300++ per night (we passed). They said they are fully booked and we’re very limited on upgrades, which I wouldn’t disagree with based on how many people we have seen through the day

Arrived on the 21st and received a great upgrade from standard OWV to a sunset OWV closer to Alba with a great view of the Whale Bar. Was pleasantly surprised but we are Ambassador Elite and on our honeymoon. Got a complimentary blue hole session as well. Weather has been for the most part pretty good with some quick showers. Sunsets have been cloudly though.

The seaplane was added to our final bill at the end along with food, watersport and spa charges. We didn't get a link prior to arriving to pay for it.

Anyone had any luck with getting them to be flexible on the $330++ fee per night for a rollaway bed? Seems a bit excessive but then I guess everything here is excessive!

We are doing the shared Tour tomorrow, but if anyone is interested in sharing the whale shark Tour hit me up, we are here until the 4th december
No, we arrived 3 days ago and spent one hour in the Lounge of the Seaplane Terminal which is not exclusive to st.regis. But i enjoyed it, good lounge and free coke cans which might have ended up in my carry on

airplane transfer
hi,
i booked my reservation earlier in the year and since then st regis has increased their plane transfer fee.
1) does anyone know if they still honor the old rate at the time of booking?
2) also, if u updated the reservation to get points back, do u have to pay the new plane transfer rate?
thx!

Potential stay over Holiday season/NYE
We stayed at St Regis back in Feb 2021, and after trying out two other nice Maldives properties in the Marriott portfolio (RC, Le Meridien) found SR to be the ideal blend of top-tier guest service, intimate and small feel to the island, amazing restaurants, pleasant crowd (mostly) yet relaxed and not overly pretentious. Vicent the GM was also great to deal with when we had an important issue to sort out with our OWV.
For the upcoming stay we are considering, the main holdback is that we don't really want to fork up $2k+ for the NYE dinner extravaganza but from what I've read it is *formally* a compulsory fee for all guests.
Is there a way to get around this, e.g. request an exception? We really don't want to be bothered with a "gala dinner" as primarily go to Maldives for the serenity and the privacy and would rather enjoy the celebrations from our villa.

We are coming Jan 15-21. Anyone have any updates on the new restaurant? Any updates on Decanter being open as regular booking or still private? If private, would there be anyone interested in doing this together? My partner is in the wine industry, and we are both huge foodies, so want to try it. I think we also want to do sunset fishing if anyone is interested in joining at some point, and potentially the local Island visit, if they are doing this again. We can't wait!
