My last day is tomorrow and I received my folio. I think the F&B is just a deduction at the end, so it rolls over (pay $1500 over five days and get a $1750 credit, in our case). Someone else can correct me it they had a different experience.

Good evening flyertalk group and St regis maldives visitors,

The Mrs and I will be at the St Regis between the 10th to the 16th. We were looking at doing the Turtle Quest Snorkeling by speed boat and wanting to see if anyone wants to join us and we can split it and have more flexibility of the date in case of weather and or jet lag or whatever. Please DM me if anyone is interested.

esc2476 : Can you add the taxes and fees on your final folio and compare to the total you were quoted on your booking total for taxes and fees and see if there is a large difference?

don't see any construction near ow villas. There is the new restaurant going in near crust and craft. And the breakers near the spa but dont hear anything at all.

Spoke to spa person yesterday and she said another week or so for the breakers to be done

Had our first spa serive at Astor villa today. It was very nice. Got to see a little of the villa too. Only downside is you dont have access to the sauce post massage. But I bet if we asked, we could head over to spa and enjoy that.

Other than some weather challenges, all great so far.

Time zone tip

Sharing because we almost missed our first appointment yesterday.

the resort is not on male time - they are are an hour later. Our butler said to set clock to Bangladesh time zone while at the resort.

Apparently to give an extra hour of sun in the am

I didn't ask any more questions...I just smiled and said sure.

Anyone have any trouble getting correct points awarded for their stay?

I spent ~8,500 including seaplane and room upgrade but was only awarded 60k points as Platinum. I expected double that (85k base plus 42k bonus). How could it be so off?

Seaplane doesn't count, nor the cash portion of the upgrade if you used cash and points.

I think most if not all high end resorts in the Maldives use this tactic.
