I'm not suggesting that it will make up the majority of Tribute, but it does open up a lot more potential properties for the brand - and that's a good thing.

Eleven ITC Hotels in India are part of the Luxury Collection, making up more than 10% of that group. Although we seem to have different definitions of what constitutes a hotel chain/brand, so this is perhaps just best left here.

This is what's really exciting about Tribute - the quick growth, and quick movement into SPG once hotels are signed.

Tribute is already half the size of Element, which we knew had grown slowly - but was so surprised to see that there are only about 25 operational now (although there are about the same number under development).

Just came across this article (http://www.hotelnewsresource.com/article87203.html) announcing Starwood's milestones over 2015 and it mentioned the following tidbit:

"The company’s newest brand, Tribute Portfolio, which launched in Q2 2015, finished the year with 16 hotels either operating or with signed agreements."

What is their planned portfolio? These are the one I'm aware of [bold = open, italic = future opening]:
- Royal Palm South Beach
- Great Northern London
- The Riviera Palm Springs
- The Kiroro Hokkaido
- SLS Las Vegas
- The Hermitage Jakarta
- Hotel of the Arts Costa Mesa
- Element/Tribute Fort Lauderdale
- The Westin Colonnade Coral Gables rebranding
- Noel Place Hotel Nashville, TN
- Vandre Nouveau Ashville, NC
- Charleston, SC
- Savannah, GA

That's thirteen; what've I missed?

I know the Marriott acquisition is looming on the not-too-distant horizon, but it'll be good to see more hotels join the fold seeing that Tribute will survive for a little while and SPG benefits must be had!

Both of the Paris options are currently Radisson Blu's, so presumably under the same ownership.

Added to the new Design Hotels in Paris, SPG really is getting a very good coverage in Paris.

The Colonnade to be Tribute Portfolio--nice refurb

Now staying at the Westin Colonnade Coral Gables (FL), soon to rebrand as The Colonnade in Tribute Portfolio. I must say the refurb is noticeable and very nicely done. Upgraded to my usual executive suite, which used to be very tired, with old soiled carpeting, old furnishings, and poor a/c. Now it looks totally refreshed, with hardwood flooring, new wooden doors, new curtains/window coverings (though not black out, unfortunately), new modern furnishings, new vanity in the bath, and fresh coats of paint. Very soothing overall. And a major improvement.

New 165-room Tribute in the Lower Highlands district of Denver announced today with a September 2018 opening: http://www.hospitalitynet.org/news/global/154000320/4074365.html

Hotel name to be revealed later this year, but based on the list I dug up earlier, this should be the "Hotel Cassady."

Starwood released an article today [http://www.businesswire.com/news/hom...ropean-Cities] announcing that both the Le Dokhan's and the Le Metropolitan will officially be joining the Tribute Portfolio, so that's a go that they'll be leaving the Carlson Rezidor portfolio. No timeframe other than '2016' stated but should be happening very soon.

So if I have one of these Paris hotels booked with Club Carlson points after they become Starwood properties, do I get SPG stay credit?

No, only if it is booked with Starpoints would it be considered an eligible award stay.

Question le metropolitan vs le dokhan

SPG website shows the exact the same photos for these hotels, except when in comes to room interiors. Since the addresses are so close by too, i am wondering which one of these is the better one ?

I have a 3 night holiday stay coming up in paris and trying to decide between w opera, le dokhan, le metropolitan, and Vendome.

Have you thought about looking at the reviews in the Club Carlson forum? That would seem like the most logical place to get information on those hotels since they just joined SPG and are likely not to have had SPG member visits as of yet.

Hotel Pur Quebec City (currently a Tryp by Wyndham) to join Tribute Porfolio in early 2017 - seems like it will be an affiliate SPG hotel whilst refurbishments are taking place (much like Avenue of the Arts, I guess).

http://www.hotelnewsresource.com/article88496.html

The article also mentions a Tribute property in Sarasota FL which I don't believe has been discussed before - anyone have any ideas on this?
