Any recent experience?
Has anyone stayed here since it's opening months ago. Appreciate any update! Thanks.
BTW, the distance between hotel and the Taj Mahal is much farther than 5 minutes away (just checked gl map). |

We stayed here for three nights. The Courtyard is not the Oberoi Amarvilas, but for about one-sixth the price it's a great little hotel. Just about every staff member we met was wonderful, and we were amazed at how well we were treated as mere Gold MR members -- a suite upgrade, free breakfast, free cocktails and snacks in the bar, early checkin and late checkout, even two pieces of laundry per day. The food in the restaurant was wonderful, especially the Indian vegetarian dishes. The hotel is 2.0 kilometers from the East Gate of the Taj Mahal.
The only slight negative was that when we asked the front desk manager about transportation options to Jaipur, he said we could take a hotel car for about $200 and that we would not get a better rate from an outside tour/transport company. When we declined this offer he remembered that there was indeed an outside company to which he could refer us, and that a representative of that company happened to be in the lobby at that very moment. This man offered a rate of about $150. In the end we were able to find another company that provided a comfortable car with driver to Jaipur for $80. Again, however, with the exception of this one executive all the hotel representatives we met were very helpful. I've written a longer review on TripAdvisor. |

Do you recommend the transportation service to Jaipur? thanks for sharing. |
I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. We stayed here in November 2016 and got the excellent treatment as described - I also put a long positive review on Tripadvisor.
We were travelling to and from Delhi by train and the hotel comped the hotel car to take us to the station, which was a nice gesture. Nick |

We are currently here. They gave us a great suite upgrade as a plat premier on a cash rate of $80 per night. The in house travel agency gave us a good guide for the Taj Mahal, albeit at a high cost the above posts note.
However, we both have food poisoning from what we believe is the hotel buffet. The warning signs were there, food was lukewarm, so our fault for plowing ahead. A la carte food has been fine. I would stay here again given the great accommodations, plat treatment and price, but I recommend to exercise caution with the buffet in the main restaurant. |
Courtyard or ITC? I will traveling with parents and 2 little daughters..
|
I've only stayed at the ITC. One thing to consider is that the ITC doesn't have rooms with 2 beds, if that matters to you. The closest they have is a large divan like mattress in some rooms. At least, that's what they've told me when we asked for rooms with 2 beds...

Hello,
Any recent stays? Platinum treatment? TIA! |
