Full details and a FAQ are available at www.united.com/rewardsplus and https://fly-united.marriott.com/en_US/ https://mrrewardsplus.com/en_US/details/

From the FAQS:

If I already have Marriott Gold Elite status or higher and MileagePlus Premier Silver status or higher, do I need to register for RewardsPlus?

No. Please note that the website will accept your registration, but your status will not change. You also do not need to register for the enhanced miles and points benefits that will launch in the coming weeks.

Feb 2017 Data Point:

You can expedite a 'pending' upgrade to Silver before March 1st if you need it:

i also lost my UA status Feb 1 and was also pending UA Silver for after 2.28 once my eligibility was confirmed. i called MAR Plat CS and asked about expediting because of an upcoming flight. i called MR Platinum at 11PM. The rep said she couldn't do it, the dept that does it was closed, but that she send a message to them. she didn't know how long it would take them, but thought it would be done within 2 days. 11 hours later, at 10am the next morning, UA Silver status was showing when i logged into my UA acct online.

I redeemed a travel package just now. The MR CSR told me trasfer time to UA miles is 3 days.

Anyway from T&C :

At the conclusion of the promotion, all miles earned by each member from Qualifying Activity and posted to such member's account will be multiplied by 25% to determine the eligible bonus up to a maximum of 20,000 Bonus Miles. Bonus Miles will be credited into the member’s account on or before January 31, 2014.

For this reason I just redeemed a single travel certificate and not more

I redeemed a Travel Package last week and it did take about 2-3 days to get the UA miles (120K MR ---> 132K UA).

I was too lazy to look up the T&C on the 25% bonus, but you are correct that it takes a while.

Agree that since there is a 20K max for the 25% bonus, it makes sense (for me, at least) to only do one package.

I transferred 17K UA miles to Marriott. Pretty poor value at 1:1, but I probably won't be flying UA again for a while.

Transfer took 2 days.

Wink

So far my 270K Marriott points generated 132K UA miles (travel package).
Posted in less than two days. Waiting the end of the promo for the additional 20K.

I'm hoping to get all UA miles out of Mr. Nacho's MP account to MR points. He got MP Premier Silver through Marriott Plat and somehow he is not able to transfer his UA points to MR points, anyone know how he could do that?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried via the website? I did it online - it took a couple of days.

The problem is that we are a family and we hardly travel alone.

The United Silver for Marriott Platinum benefit sure worked for us recently. We were upgraded to first Hawaii out and back. And, the free bag and getting the bag out priority were a nice touch. I was surprised the United flights didn't have internet or much for in flight entertainment, but the seats were comfortable and we were able to recline that little bit more. Each flight had decent food service and the FAs were kind. I certainly wouldn't have paid more for them, but as a benefit that cost me nothing - No complaints.
