Asking help for the "Reward a Friend" promotion problem
The "Reward a Friend" promotion is experiencing some very serious system problems and lasting more than one month already.
For the promotion please reference :
http://www.joinmarriottrewards.com/f...ode=EN&source=
1. My friends could not receive my invitation email, although your web page prompted me that the message send successfully. We tried Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook and so on, but the result was none of them can receive the invitation email.
2. The only person in my friends who received the email, after he clicked the "join Marriott Rewards" link in that email, the new page was not the next page of the registration, but returned to the homepage of this promotion.
It's so frustrating...

A data point on this: I tried sending an invite to a friend this week and she never received the email despite the website notifying me that the invite was successfully sent to the intended address.

Have your friend checked her junk mail box?
If she could not locate the email there, please send along your account detail and her email address to us via private mail here or by email below. We will forward to the appropriate team to look into this.

Looks like Marriott worked on the "Reward a Friend" and it works again:
Up to 50,000 bonus points for you
Earn 2,000 bonus points for each stay your referrals make, up to five stays per referral. That’s up 50,000 bonus points for you.
Up to 10,000 bonus points for your friend
And your friends will earn 2,000 bonus points after their first five stays. That’s up to 10,000 bonus points total for them.

Referral Request / Question
Hi,
I typically book all my rooms at Hilton (Diamond status), but I am looking to accumulate 200k Marriott points for 2 separate stays within the next year or so. My plan is to have an account for both myself and my my wife, to earn 100k in each of these accounts. A few months ago I started a Bonvoy account, without a referral, that has had no activity. Because I have already hit Diamond for next year with Hilton, I figure this is the perfect time to start earning points for Marriott. I would love for someone to send me a referral link (I am sure there will be enough people interested) to start an account for my wife. From there, I would like her to send me a referral code. A few questions - her first stay on her account would most likely be after my first stay - would she still be able to earn a referral, even if she has zero points as of now? Also, since I already have an account - without any points activity - how would I go about starting a brand new account where I would be eligible for the points bonus?
Thank you.

I sent a referral link to a friend 5 days ago (Nov 19). She has received nothing from Marriott. Is this normal?
I would have thought that this would be an automated process so not sure why it hasn't happened yet.
