Marriott already rules in London IMO, but with the recent addition of Grosvenor House and now the property you mention, I would say they have answered Hilton's acquisition of the London Waldorf quite nicely. Gotta start saving my points again!

The website now shows an opening date in March 2005 for the Capri Marriott Hotel. This cat 7 hotel seams to become terrific.
