It looks like it'll be a category 4.
I have a stay booked at the Sthala in April but thinking of switching over depending on the reviews. Looks like it might be closer to Ubud which is nice.

Picture from the pool
Been here for 3 days now - hotel opened 2 weeks ago
Breakfast has been good & poolside restaurant is good as well (had the soft shell crab buns & the pulled pork tacos - enjoyed both). Food is reasonably priced & comparable with local restaurants.
Service is attentive. Got out of the pool wearing sunglasses & sat down to read and the attendant came by and offered to clean my glasses for me. I was impressed & surprised by that as I’ve never had that offer before. Also, they came around & offers people 5 minutes teaser shoulder massages & then a spa offer. I did end up getting a massage (1 hour for 1M IDR - spa had a steam room & private relaxation pool).
Good size standard room & bathroom (2 sinks, huge shower & separate soaking tub) - big balcony with seating for 2 & a table.
Staff is extremely friendly.
About a 10 minute ride to the Ubud Palace (38k on Grab) - but Ubud doesn’t like Grab picking up & want you to use the local taxi mafia. I had a Grab driver willing to pick me up at Monkey Forest - 40k back. Another time, I hopped on a motorbike taxi for 60k. The regular car wanted 100k to go back.
Internet here is really good as well.

Thank you fir the 1st review of this resort.
are you a platinum elite (or above)? How do they treat elite guests?
Any special benefit for elites?
I’m going to stay there late next month just to try it out. Their member opening offer rate is hard to resist. Even the villa is quite cheaper than the standard suite at the St. Regis.

Dear lurkers,
could you provide the email address of this hotel please?
Btw, i still don’t understand why marriott is keeping this thing hardly visible to guests.

I had booked the element for 3 nights in May, then I stumbled across this and have booked it too. Would love to know which is better, leaning towards Westin as it’s 4 star vs 3 star and the infinity pool looks amazing

This place finally "opened", but it can hardly be considered "new". I found another post on FlyerTalk that discussed a grand opening for this property back in 2012. That explains this picture that I pulled from street view dated January 2019. Certainly this hotel was not built under in an optimal timeframe or with proper financing. I would temper any expectations accordingly.
Just sayin'
