Has anyone stayed here recently? Thoughts?

Have 5 nights upcoming ... Curious as to Platinum upgrade/benefits/etc.

2 nt stay - no upgrade no meaningful plat perks. Jetlagged picked 500 pt without much thinking, asked later for plat breakfast - nope you chose point amenity. Cheapskates.
Hongta and westin were far more welcoming on past trips.

That is a bummer. Its my mainstay in Shanghai. Great, large rooms. Excellent location (for me). Right above the subway line, too.

I like it too, but it needed a refresh, and it appears it is getting one now. The reflag is probably a good thing in the grand scheme.
